Falun Dafa Practitioners From Henan Province Appeal to the Public to Require an Independent Investigation of the Self-Immolation Incident

The Incident reported by the Xinhua News Agency stating that five people from Kaifeng City, Henan Province set themselves on fire at Tiananmen Square on January 23^rd, is not the action of Falun Dafa practitioners.

Genuine Falun Dafa practitioners cultivate the universal principle of "Zhen-Shan-Ren" (Truth-Compassion-Tolerance). In Falun Dafa (Lecture in Sydney), a practitioner asked our Teacher, " If killing a life is a great sin, is it a sin for a human being to commit suicide?". Master Li answered, "It is a sin." (Please refer to the original book for more details). Therefore, genuine Falun Dafa practitioners definitely would never commit self- immolation.

Our Falun Dafa practitioners from Henan Province will be looking into this incident in more detail and will try to post the investigation results on the Internet as soon as possible.

We would like to sincerely appeal to all government departments and all news agencies to fairly, openly and objectively investigate and report on this incident in order to establish a good image for the country.

We hope that people from all parts of the world could be more aware of the conspiracy behind this incident. We also would like to encourage involved parties to stop carrying out illegal tasks for the sake of their jobs and salaries. Such horrific deeds will be remembered throughout history- please don't hesitate to step forward.
