Around 9:30am on January 13, the county police station troops and several evil people from politics and law committees tied up six Dafa disciples, along with a real criminal who was accused of abducting and selling people. Black plates were hung from their necks. They were all put into a big truck and sent to the county seat court (which is at the county traffic intersection) where they were sentenced. In fact, this was an organized show trial to stigmatize Falun Gong. During the show trial the malicious accusers read documents such as "Chenzhou City's decision about XX" [Note: slanderous words against Dafa respectfully omitted] and sentenced every Dafa disciple to one and half years of labor reeducation. Because six Dafa disciples followed the constitutionally endowed civil right to appeal or tell people the truth- they were locked up (for one or two months). Then they were sentenced to labor reeducation. They are: Li Shangying (female), Cao Jinfeng (female), Xiao X (male); Li X(male), Li X (male), [name withheld](male). Each Dafa disciple's face was auspicious and serene with a smile. Li Shangying shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" in order to kindle kind-hearted people's awareness. After that, the authorities paraded the Dafa disciples through the main streets and markets in the county seat and used loud sirens to draw attention to and stigmatize Dafa and our Teacher. The male criminal who abducted and sold people was taken away right after he was sentenced to a 10-year term of imprisonment. This reveals a distinct difference in the treatment of Falun Gong practitioners and shows a serious trampling of human rights and a legal violation in executing the law. It seems that practicing to maintain health, purifying one's mind to become a good person is worse than abducting and selling people. It is this typical Cultural Revolution tactic of manipulating public opinion that leads otherwise kind-hearted people into depravity. We truly hope that the right and kind-hearted people around the world can give assistance to help stop the evil!
At one o'clock in the afternoon, Dafa disciples were then sent to the Baimalong labor camp in Chenzhou City and Xinkaipu labor camp in Changsha City, respectively. According to Li Shangying's relatives, she was taken away by police from her livingroom around 5:40pm on November 19, 2000 and was sent to Jiahe county lockup around 10:30am on November 21. (over twenty hours later in direct violation of the law) The police searched her home and found nothing. In the meantime, her husband tried unsuccessfully to see her. Two months later, on January 19, 2001, she began to fast in protest, but was ignored. Until now, her family members still have not received the labor reeducation notice.
We sincerely hope that her relatives working in Taiwan and the United States can pay close attention to this matter.
