[Clearwisdom.net] There was a continuous stream of Falun Dafa practitioners from all over China going to Tiananmen Square to appeal peacefully and rectify the Dafa. They were arrested by policemen one after another. Because of the great number of practitioners being arrested, all the detention centers in the Beijing area were full. Therefore, some practitioners were sent to other places.

On Dec. 24, 2000, over 100 practitioners, who refused to release their names, were sent to Tangshan detention center in Hebei Province under the 'protection' of an armed guard. To prevent things happening 'unexpectedly', the soldiers were seated along the window seats; and each soldier 'looked after' a single practitioner.

The people working for the Tangshan detention center were very upset to see so many Dafa practitioners arriving. They were tired of having to keep Dafa practitioners anymore, but they could find no way out. They gave each practitioner a strict health check, and they refused to accept those below standard; therefore, 15 practitioners had to be moved again to Qianan City that is also in Hebei Province.

In Qianan City detention center, the fifteen practitioners refused to disclose their names and went on a hunger strike to protest against the illegal detention. As a result of this, they received inhumane persecution. The head person of the detention center, Wang Heying, ordered 4 or 5 security guards to use cruel means and verbal abuse towards Dafa practitioners. They interrogated each Dafa practitioner individually and applied savage torture on them. They took turns hitting the practitioners' faces and tying their arms very hard from behind. Then they dragged the rope towards the back of the head; the rope was tied so tight that it cut into the flesh very deeply. At the same time, with one man slapping their face in the front; another man dragged their hair very hard from behind. The practitioners were forced to kneel down the entire time. After 20 minutes, the arms turned purple in color. They also stepped very hard on the practitioners' feet and legs. They took turns when they became tired; as the torture lasted from morning till midnight. The practitioners' faces became swollen and turned a purple color as well. Up until today, some practitioners' feet have still not recovered, and some practitioners' arms are still numb due to being tied up for too long!

To Wang Heying: history has recorded your crimes and will send you to trial!
