I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. My name is Fangli (pseudonym). I want to tell the world that the City Government, the Public Security Bureau, and the Department of Industry and Trade of Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province had pressured my husband, who works at the Department of Industry and Trade, to divorce me. My husband and I are legally married, and we love each other very much. Since July 20^th, 1999 the city's Public Security Bureau had illegally detained me twice due to my firm belief in Falun Dafa. They also forced my husband to divorce me and threatened that he would lose his job otherwise. Facing numerous threats from the City Government, the Public Security Bureau, and the Department of Industry and Trade, my husband had no choice but to lock me at home. I was deprived of money and freedom for half a year. During this period of time, people from the Public Security Bureau frequently visited my husband both at work and at home to threaten him. There was not a peaceful day at home. My husband could not focus on his job. In order not to bring him any more trouble, I had to leave home and wander about, doing some part-time jobs. I have a home but I could not go back. My husband lost his job three months ago. He had worked diligently for 20 years, and now he has become unemployed. He was hurt emotionally. To validate Dafa and tell the truth about Dafa, I went to Tiananmen again. At Tiananmen Square I was arrested again, and was sent to Shatian Lockup in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province for illegal detention. At the lockup I did not cooperate. I did not say one word. When they forced me, I reacted with a hunger strike. After three days of the hunger strike, the head of Shatian lockup and Dr Liu ordered 4 or 5 male prisoners to throw me to the floor and step on my hands, my legs and my feet so that I could not move. They tried to open my mouth with iron pliers and feed me rice. I did not cooperate with these vicious actions. Then they beat me. My mouth was bloody and my teeth were loose, blood was all over my body. The cruelty of Lin and Liu scared the prisoners at the same ward. They were all furious but they dared not to say a word; they shed tears quietly. No matter how cruel and brutal they were, they were not able to feed me one grain of rice. Lin brutally grabbed my hair and dragged me from one ward to another. After an hour, they used an electric stick. Lin then brought a hard wood stick to hit my shins. Later, under the persuasion of Ms. Li and an elderly head of the lockup, Lin stopped his violence. I want to expose the viciousness. Stopping them from committing crimes shows our compassion toward them. Now I have escaped from there evil clutches. I will resume my journey of protecting and validating Dafa.
