She was illegally fined 20,000 Yuan [about US$2400, the city average monthly wage is about $60]: 10,000 deducted from the paycheck and 10,000 paid by the family. She was illegally detained for 4 months, and now she is under formal arrest.

On July 9, 2000, he was arrested by the local police station without any reason while he was sitting outside of his home to enjoy the fresh air. His home was searched the next day and all Dafa materials were confiscated. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. He was arrested on July 20, 2000 and had been detained for 15 days. He was arrested in Beijing again on October 6, 2000 and had been detained total 24 days in three places: 4 days in Chaoyang District Detention Center in Beijing, 15 days in Zhangjiakou City and 5 days in a detention center. On November 2, he was sent to Kaiping Labor Camp in Tangshan city. During this period of time, his family was required to pay money. After the request was refused, his home was forcefully searched. One tape recorder and one 21-inch TV set, 1,400 Yuan cash were taken away. Since May 2000, his retirement pension, 200 Yuan per month, has been cancelled.
