Appealing Dafa Disciples Tortured at Yanqing County Detention Center, Beijing

There were several thousand Dafa disciples arrested at Tiananmen Square on December 31, 2000. On the same day, the police at Tiananmen Public Security Station secretly sent some of the Dafa disciples to the distant Yanqing County Detention Center.

On January 2, 2001, the vicious police at the detention center persecuted Dafa disciples in an extremely inhumane way. A female disciple that was over seventy years old was forcefully dragged to the courtyard by the evil police and beaten up with fists and feet. They used batons to hit her head; and then they shocked her private parts and in other vital places when she still refused to give out her name and address. Her face had become deformed from the beatings; her cheeks and lips were severely bludgeoned; her face had four huge blisters; a large proportion of her body became black. One female disciple that was around forty was tortured for a whole day since she refused to give them her name and address. They forced her to take off her coat and shoes; and made her stand outside for about two hours, wearing only her underclothes. . They poured cold water into her underclothes from the top of her head. They cuffed and kicked her and used a cigarette butt to burn her face and put a flaming cigarette butt into her nose. They used electric batons to shock her whole body and did extremely indecent acts to her. After one day, this Dafa disciple had been tortured beyond recognition. It was too horrible to look at.
