The Chinese Embassy Uses Buses to Block View of the Posters

Practicing in Front of the Chinese Embassy

It was very windy and rainy in Washington DC on March 21. In the "Tiananmen Garden," across the street from the Chinese Embassy, the peaceful petition of Falun Gong practitioners was going on as usual. In addition to banners, we had a huge exhibition board displaying the atrocities committed by Chinese police in Tiananmen Square.

Strangely, a big bus was parked on the street in front of the garden. Around noon the motorcade of China's Vice Premier Qian Qichen drove into the Embassy. Since the motorcade had to drive around the garden in order to get to the doorway of the Embassy building, the Vice Premier must have seen the exhibition board.

Directly facing the doorway of the embassy building, we put up another big exhibition board which read, "With Countless Blood Debts, Jiang Zemin Cannot Escape from The Historical Trial." This exhibition board was away from the big bus, and there were only some cars in front of it. Around 2 PM the big bus moved in front of the new exhibition board, blocking it. Qian Qichen's motorcade drove away shortly after that.

In China, the persecutors have been very aggressive. With all the media under their control, they have launched a war against Falun Gong. In the United States, Chinese officials do not even dare to face some exhibition boards held in several people's hands. They only dare to hold closed-door, condemning meetings to which they invite only a few "friendly" people. These actions, that deceive only themselves, also expose the unpopularity and lack of legitimacy of their persecution of Falun Gong.
