Riding the Bus with a Group of Children in Geneva

Early in the morning on March 22, about a dozen or more of us Dafa practitioners, from various countries throughout the world, boarded a bus that was going to the "signature-signing" event held by the Geneva Branch of International Amnesty at the University de Geneva.

When we had finally taken our seats on the bus, we noticed that a group of local children, ranging from about 5 to 10 years old, were also lining up at the bus stop. One of them waved happily at us, and we waved back. Then the other children also started waving at us. Instantly, a warm and friendly bond was established between the children and us on the bus.

At that moment, one practitioner pointed at the words "Falun Dafa" on his shirt to show the children. Immediately, a boy, about 5 or 6 years old, read out aloud: "Falun Dafa," while clapping his hands and jumping with joy at the same time. The other children also seemed to take an interest in the imprints on our shirts. Another practitioner handed out a copy of "The Truth of Falun Gong" to one of the children. Immediately, all of the other children wanted to have a copy as well. We ended up giving away all our own copies. Some children who did not get a copy still held their hands out waiting. We regretted that we hadn't brought more with us. While some of us were still searching our bags for more, the children had already boarded the bus. As soon as they got on, they quickly gathered around us and politely held out their hands to us again.

Looking at this group of innocent and lovely children, some of us couldn't help removing the Falun Pins from our shirts and handing them out, while some others were looking for little souvenirs--bookmarks and postcards, to give away. The children held onto these little gifts tightly, showing how much they appreciated them. When we ran out of things to give, we could see the disappointment on the faces of the few children who had missed out. Although no words had been exchanged between ourselves and the children, we were deeply moved by their purity and innocence.

The bus finally arrived at its destination. The children shook hands with us and waved goodbye, then disappeared off the bus in a hurry. We wished them all happiness in the future.
