Toronto Practitioners Call A Press Conference and Show the Video, "Uncovering the Truth of the Self-Immolation"


A Toronto Falun Dafa Practitioner

[Minghui Net] On April 3, Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference at the University of Toronto, Canada. Seven media organizations such as The World Journal, New Times TV, Toronto Star, CFMT and CFTO, etc., attended the conference. The media watched the video, "Uncovering the Truth of the Self-Immolation." Throughout the whole video, reporters were shocked by the truth of the self-immolation incident as well as by the fatal blow the person in the fire received. After the video, the practitioners answered the reporters' questions. In addition, they exposed the persecution going on in China over the last 20 months and they clarified the countless lies about the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square.

During the United Nations Human Rights Commission, practitioners from Canada urged their government to jointly sponsor a resolution criticizing the poor human rights records of China. They demanded that the Chinese government unconditionally release all innocent Falun Gong practitioners being detained. Furthermore, they asked that China clear the name and restore the reputation of Falun Dafa.

During the press conference, Falun Dafa practitioner Li Jingyu from Montreal Canada said that she went to Geneva in order to save her husband and tens of thousands of the other Falun Gong practitioners in China. She then practiced the Falun Dafa exercises in front of the United Nations buildings with some 1,500 other Falun Gong practitioners from more than 20 countries. Together they asked the world to stop the Chinese government's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Recently the videotape, "Uncovering the Truth of the Self-Immolation" has been a positive way to explain the true facts of the self-immolation to society. We hope that all kind-hearted people will not be deceived by the Chinese government's lies. Let the people clearly see what is compassionate, what is vicious, and what truth and falsehood are.
