CCTV Program Exploits Overseas Chinese to Denounce Falun Gong

On March 13, a Chinese Association in the UK with special ties to the PRC invited several dozens of local Chinese people to a banquet at a restaurant in London's Chinatown. During the banquet they asked several people to speak out and secretly conducted this so-called "Exposing and Denouncing [Falun Gong] Conference by Overseas Chinese in the United Kingdom."

Based on information disclosed by some Chinese who attended the conference on that day we learned more about this secret gathering. It was revealed that CCTV was trying to film a special program titled "Overseas Chinese Denouncing Falun Gong." This Association with a special PRC background gathered a few local Chinese nationals to play a role in this production. The presentation will be shown in China to deceive the people.

During that day there were several hundred Chinese walking around Chinatown, yet none of them were allowed to attend the banquet. Several Falun Gong practitioners were also not allowed in when they tried to clarify the truth. Reporters from RFA (Radio Free America) were present and tried to get inside to report on the banquet, but they were also refused and given the reason that it was a "private meeting."

Often, Jiang Zemin prefers this deceptive approach in his "governing" of the country. Many so-called "International News Media" whose report on overseas news were often quoted in China, were in fact either indirectly funded or controlled through private ownership by the Chinese Bureau of Public Security. Further influences were exerted by preferential treatment with advertising concessions. Therefore when these news media came across sensitive and critical issues, they must publish some "voice" from Beijing. The government then put this "news" back into their own "Reference News" (an internally distributed newspaper which contains more news than the People's Daily; it is intended to be read by government officials) published in China. They tried to mislead their countrymen. They like to misdirect people to think that Falun Gong is also being suppressed on a worldwide scale. It is so plainly self-defeating that even the CCTV reporters told their relatives in the UK, "It is our job and they pay our salary, but CCTV news is anything but worthy of your time."

The [party name omitted] Party has organized many so-called "Fellow Townsmen Associations," "Student Associations," and all kinds of other "Associations" in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and many other overseas Chinese locations. In fact, many of these "civilian organizations" were carrying out "special agency" tasks on a worldwide scale. It is not surprising that Jiang Zemin, realizing this is the most critical time for him in his last gasp, has activated these overseas agents in this crucial moment. These agents are now very active in America and Europe. Many overseas Chinese organizations also showed their true nature when dealing with the Falun Gong issues.
