Hong Kong Uses Brute Force to Deport British Falun Gong Practitioner

I am a British citizen. I went to Hong Kong to visit my friends. Upon my arrival in Hong Kong on 6 May 2001, I was not allowed to enter for "security reasons."

Though I had visited Hong Kong before, I had never had any trouble, nor had I committed any crimes there on my last visit. I have never done anything violent in Britain either, and have no criminal record. The officials of the Hong Kong Immigration Department did not explain why they rejected me. They even rejected my request for a full written explanation of why I was not being allowed to enter.

Because they would not give me a good reason for their actions, I resisted their attempts to make me sign a "Refusal of Entry Notice." When dealing with my case, Immigration Department officials deliberately let nearly 5 hours elapse before giving me permission to speak to another person. This made it impossible for me to find a lawyer, due to the shortage of time.

In addition, without consulting me they erased the voice recording I had made on my personal cassettes. The cassettes recorded my conversation with the immigration officers. Apparently, they tried to cover the facts and disallowed Hong Kong and international media to report the incident. When they told me to get ready to board a flight going back to London that same day, I answered that I would not leave unless they returned all of my property in its original condition. Therefore, they used force and physically pushed me onto the plane.

As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I realized that it was not enough to simply not cooperate with the evil forces. I should also use this opportunity to tell the truth about Falun Gong to other people. Therefore, I tried talking to two female officials who were assigned to watch me. After learning that they had never heard of Falun Gong, I said, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the sole criterion in the universe with which to judge good and bad people." I also explained, "Good is rewarded with good and evil with evil. Falun Gong practitioners all think about others first and are not selfish, we follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

In the hall of the passport control office, people did not understand what was going on when they saw me being pushed around by the officials. I spoke to them loudly: "They have rejected my entry into Hong Kong simply because I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Gong is a righteous law. We promote Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Falun Gong is legal in Hong Kong. Why do you not let Falun Gong practitioners enter? Jiang Zemin has persecuted Falun Gong and he will be punished..."

Although I was refused entry, I, as a Dafa particle, did take the opportunity to tell the truth to many people. In addition, I will tell more people, including the public in UK, about the unfair treatment that I received in Hong Kong, and make them aware of Jiang Zemin's evil nature.
