Protecting Falun Dafa at Tiananmen Square on April 28, 2001

[Minghui Net] On April 27, 2001, I read the following passage in Teacher's new article, "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful:" "As a Dafa disciple, why fear the evil ones while enduring persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates." It was at this time that I thought I should go to Beijing to protect Falun Dafa and to suppress the evil forces.

Around 12:30pm on April 28, I arrived at Tiananmen Square and opened several banners which read, "Falun Dafa is a Righteous Cultivation Way," "Falun Dafa is Good," and "Return our Teacher's Reputation." Just after that, several policemen rushed towards me, and soon they forcibly took me to a police station. I refused to cooperate with them no matter what they asked me to do. Because I didn't tell them my name and address when they asked, they grabbed my hair and dragged me to a chair. They kicked at my eyes and face and boxed my ears, which made me bleed a lot. However, I thought, "Face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times." Thus, I wasn't afraid. "If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will become non-existent. After that, four policemen tightly grabbed both of my hands and slammed me to the table; but I felt the power of Falun Dafa at that time. They were beating an old lady who would not fight back while being beaten and who would not curse back while being cursed at. They took turns hitting my body with batons, but I felt no pain. I continued to exclaim that "Falun Dafa is good!" and "Compassion will have a good payback and evil will have a bad one!" Just after that, I lost consciousness. When I woke up, I was lying on the chair in an iron cage. I felt a warm flow of energy throughout my whole body. I also found that the color of my whole body was purple. It felt like there was something heavy pressing against my head. My trousers were ripped and torn. I sat up and saw that it was dark. Then, the policeman said I could go. At that time I was thinking, "If everyone does this, the environment won't be this way" (Teacher's new article "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful").

Cultivation means cultivating one's heart. Actually, I didn't do anything this time. It was Teacher who saw that I had the heart to cultivate Buddhahood and appeal for compassion.
