Sydney's Celebration of World Falun Dafa Day

It was a beautiful sunny day in Sydney, a typical day for Falun Dafa events.

More than 300 Falun Dafa practitioners from Sydney, together with practitioners from Melbourne, Blue Mountain, Mittagong and Wollongong, celebrated the second World Falun Dafa Day in Sydney, at the Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, a place visited by Master Li more than twice.

The celebration held today was the first of the two-day-event. More than 250 people wearing bright colored clothing formed the characters of "Falun Dafa 2001" and practiced the five exercises in Tumbalong Park. While most of the adult practitioners were enjoying their practice, more than 20 young practitioners, mostly between the ages of 3-9 years old, were also contributing their efforts for the celebration event as they practiced quietly in and around the stage of Tumbalong Park, and sang a beautiful song for the close of the first day's event.

Many people passing by stopped to watch and talk to us, and some of them started to learn the exercises on the spot. A young man said: "It's so peaceful to watch. By just watching you guys I know the Chinese Government is lying again on the Falun Gong issue ... Can I join please?"

It is going to be another big and eventful day for Falun Dafa in Australia tomorrow (Sunday May 13, 2001). There will be a Cultural Fair at Tumbalong Park, 13 Falun Dafa information desks and stalls, and there will be Cultural Performances, an Art Exhibition, plus more World Falun Dafa Day Celebration Ceremonies, guest speakers, a Discussion Forum and Complementary Breakfast, plus a Harbour Cruise for friends, relatives, and all other people who want to learn about Falun Dafa.
