Xiaoming is now ten years old. She started to study Dafa when she was five years old as her mother read books to her word by word. She learned the exercises from her father. She was able to read "Zhuan Falun" by the time she was six.

On the 53rd day after her birth, Xiaoming was hospitalized with a number of illnesses. She spent quite a bit of time in the hospital each year until she learned Dafa. However, since she started to study Dafa and practice the exercises, all of her illnesses have completely disappeared, and she lives a healthy life now.

Since July 20, 1999, Falun Dafa and Dafa practitioners have been persecuted by government forces. Xiaoming felt very sad since she knew that TV channels were showing false reports concocted by self-serving power-seekers in order to slander Dafa and Master Li. She knew Dafa was good and righteous.

Shortly after the persecution started, Xiaoming followed her parents to Beijing to protect Dafa through demonstrating Falun Gong in Tiananmen Square. Her parents were arrested and detained for some period of time, and she was sent home to be cared for by her aunt. This happened during the review period for her school's final exams, so her classmates could not understand why she missed an entire week to travel to Beijing. They stopped playing with her and even said some mean things about her behind her back, but she just quietly bore it. Usually, a student in such a situation cannot make good grades; however, her test scores were excellent. The principal checked her test results and were very surprised at her excellent grades. Since everybody in the school and throughout the neighborhood knew that Xiaoming had gone to Beijing to validate Dafa, if she had failed her tests, it could have been used as an excuse to attack Dafa.

During that time, Xiaoming experienced more than just these tests. Her teacher pressured her to give up practicing Falun Dafa. Sometimes other teachers also took part in her "education," as if they were playing scripted roles. Nevertheless, nobody could make her give up. Eventually, her teachers stopped asking her.

One day Xiaoming was called to the principal's office where some strangers were waiting. One of these strangers asked, "Are you still practicing Falun Gong?" Xiaoming answered without hesitation, "Yes. I am!" The principal threatened her, "You will be kicked out of school if you continue the practice." She answered, "Even I am kicked out, I will continue practicing." The principal threatened more, "If you insist, your parents will be put in jail." Xiaoming said, "Even if you arrest them, I will still practice Falun Gong." The principal further threatened, "Then your parents will be decapitated." Xiaoming asked naively, "How will you decapitate them?" The principal burst into laughter, "You are just like Zhang Liuzi!" (Note: In Chinese schoolbooks, Zhang Liuzi was a young Chinese hero who acted very bravely in front of Japanese officers during the War of Resistance against Japan.) Then the principle stopped laughing and chatted with the strangers in a low voice. One of the strangers said to Xiaoming, "Since you insist on practicing, you have to come with us." Then the two strange adults took her hands and led her towards a police car parked on the playground. On the way one told her again, "If you give up, we can release you now." Xiaoming answered, "No, I will never give up!" As they almost reached the car, one said, "Forget it, let's let her go." So she went back to her classroom. Later when her mother asked her if she had been scared, Xiaoming said, "I was pretty nervous at that time."

When Jiang Zemin's regime manufactured the "self-immolation" incident, many people were misled by the fabricated reports. The teachers in Xiaoming's school wanted to criticize Falun Dafa too, and each class had to post some related articles on the bulletin board. Xiaoming felt very worried about it, so she went to her teacher and asked, "Falun Dafa is upright, why should we criticize it?" The teacher said, "Then how can you explain the self-immolation?" Xiaoming said, "That was faked. I went to Tiananmen Square, but I never saw any fire extinguishers." Eventually, she convinced the teacher, so the bulletin board was posted with some papers advocating that students learn from Lei Feng (Note: Lei Feng was a model Chinese citizen from the 1960', who served people selflessly.)

Xiaoming had a lot of academic achievements in many areas in her age group in school, but she would never be praised. Although she was nominated by her classmates, the principal would not praise her because she practiced Falun Gong. Xiaoming did not mind this at all.

She disciplines herself with the standard of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance," so that the media cannot deceive her. On the other hand, she feels extremely sad that such a great Dafa is being attacked by evil forces, that Master Li is being slandered while teaching people to be good and purifying their bodies, and that Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted simply for insisting on being good people and following the standard of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance". How she wants to clarify those faked reports, and how she wants to reveal the truth to all people! Xiaoming is appealing from the bottom of her heart, saying, "Falun Dafa is great! Falun Gong practitioners are being treated badly indeed!"
