Dafa Practitioner Zou Songtao was Beaten to Death by an Electric Baton at the Wangcun Labor Camp in Shandong Province

Dafa practitioner, Zou Songtao, male, 28, from Qingdao City, Shandong Province, died suddenly at the Wangcun Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province. Labor camp officials, using an electric baton, had beaten Mr. Zou to death.

Here is what we know so far from an eye-witness report: On November 3, 2000, around noon, Mr. Zou came out of the 3rd sub-team activity center in the camp. He had to pass a circular stairway outside the office building. Because of the structure of the stairs he slowed down his pace. At that moment, an official used an electric baton to beat him while scolding him for being slow. Mr. Zou fell down backward from the strong electric shock. He hit the back of his head squarely on the stairway and immediately lost consciousness. He suffered a traumatic head injury. There was blood everywhere. By the time the panicked and confused officials sent Mr. Zou to the hospital, he had already died. The doctor did pronounce Mr. Zou dead on arrival.

After Zou Songtao's death, the camp's officials wanted to cover themselves for their murderous deed. They immediately transferred the murderer and two other guards on duty that day [to another work place]. They publicly informed Zou's family, saying that Mr. Zou committed suicide by jumping from the building.

"Good will be rewarded and evil will be punished with appropriate retributions." The murderers and other responsible people will soon get their punishments and retributions.
