[Beijing] Unprecedented Tragedy! Eye Witness Account by a Recently Released Falun Dafa Practitioner

An elderly Falun Dafa practitioner in Beijing was taken into a building in a detention center after police apprehended him. He heard a tragic cry come from outside the window, so he and several other Falun Dafa practitioners went over to take a look. They saw a person on the ground that was covered with blood and had injuries all over his body; that person fell from one of the windows upstairs! (He was pushed out by the police!) Police threatened that this was how the others would end up if they refused to provide their name!!!

[Liaoning Province] Belated Report: Falun Dafa Broadcasting Frightens Authorities at Masanjia Labor Camp

In the early morning of April 25, Falun Dafa practitioners placed numerous sets of loud speakers near Masanjia Labor Camp, Zhangshi Labor Camp, Longshan Labor Camp, and Fangjialan Detention Center. Teacher's new articles were broadcast in different time slots over and over. The loud and clear sound greatly encouraged Falun Dafa practitioners and at the same time rectified the environment.

[Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Government Officials with Underworld Connections Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners to Gain Favor with Jiang Zemin and His Henchmen

Shenyang is the largest city in northeast China. This year's crop was in terrible shape due to drought. The whole situation there brings to mind the saying that if it is not taken care of by man, it will be taken care of by heaven. Both the mayor and deputy-mayor of the city have been arrested for underworld connections. Several dozen municipal officials are involved with the underworld as well. It is clearly a case of "Dark gangs and sinister groups---Governments and bandits, one family." (Poem from Hongyin -- unofficial translation.) The deputy mayor Ma Xiangdong gambled away US $34,000,000 in Macao. To cover up acts like this, municipal officials went out of their way to round up Falun Dafa practitioners to court favor with Jiang Zemin.

Municipal officials with shady connections have arrested more than 10,000 Falun Dafa practitioners since July 22, 1999. Various labor camps alone have held several thousand practitioners. Over 2,000 Falun Dafa practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor in Masanjia Labor Camp. Around 270 practitioners are being held in Longshan Labor Camp, and 200 in Zhangshi Labor Camp. Falun Dafa practitioners are also held in Yinjia Labor Camp and Dabei Prison. If this many practitioners have been arrested in just one city, how many would there be on a national scale? The number of practitioners detained would be well beyond tens of thousands.

Zhangshi Labor Camp in Shenyang city is even more evil than Masanjia Labor Camp. Near the end of last year, in order to buy support, Jiang Zemin paid out bonuses ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 Yuan RMB to police officers and prison guards who were in direct contact with Falun Gong practitioners. In order to earn merit, police have persecuted not only Falun Dafa practitioners but their family members as well. Practitioners who refuse to be reformed have been deprived of food and forbidden to sleep. Some practitioners passed out as a result of the physical punishment. Prison guards also instigated the so-called "reformed people" to tell on others.

April 17 was a day for visits (those who refuse to be reformed are not allowed to meet their family members). The authorities placed the Teacher's portrait on the ground at the entrance. The visiting family members were ordered to step on the portrait. Whoever refused to do so would be apprehended. 9 people were apprehended on the spot. Two Falun Dafa practitioners were sent to Longshan Labor Camp for refusing to step on the Teacher's portrait.

The public security bureau of Shenyang City called a conference recently in which orders were issued to take another 100 days to intensify the sweeping persecution of Falun Gong.

[Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Li is Inhumanely Treated in the No. 1 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang

Falun Dafa practitioner Li Li, female, around 60 years old, resides in the living quarters of the 7^th Cotton Mill. When she was clarifying the truth to the public and delivering related materials, she was unfortunately arrested. She is currently illegally held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang. In order to resist persecution, Li Li has been on a hunger strike. She has been force-fed 4 times. The vicious prison guards threw this elderly lady on the ground every time they finished force-feeding her; as a result, every time she was thrown on the ground she vomited. Now Li Li, is misshapen from torture, and cannot even talk.

We appeal to all of society to extend your helping hands to stop the criminal acts of the prison guards in the No. 1 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang, and save the life of this innocent senior lady.

[Gaoyi County, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Gao Juya on Hunger Strike

Female Falun Dafa practitioner Gao Juya from Gaoyi County, Hebei Province went to Shijiazhuang Labor Camp to visit her husband Niu Zhiquan (also a Falun Dafa practitioner), who was illegally imprisoned at the first brigade on April 29, 2001. The guards searched her and found the Teacher's new articles and illegally detained and imprisoned her in the Gaoyi County Watch House. The prison guards would not allow her relatives to visit. According to reliable sources, after arriving at the watch house, Gao Juya went on a hunger strike to protest. Presently she has severe palpitations and her life is in danger. We hope kind-hearted people pay attention to her situation.

[Jinan, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Illegally Imprisoned at Jinan Female Labor Camp Hold Fast to Their Righteous Thoughts

During the "May 1" Festival, five or six hundred female Falun Dafa practitioners were illegally imprisoned. They cultivate and survive in the bad environment, and are on short commons. There are 12 practitioners per small room. The guards devastate them spiritually every day, continuously speaking obscene words. Their hope is to destroy the practitioners' righteous beliefs, righteous thoughts and righteous enlightenment. It was pure land inside the prison house, while outside the prison house ghosts and beasts were all over. When the family of the practitioners visit them, the practitioners are not allowed to tell the truth; otherwise the visiting rights will be deprived. The visitors, from their hometowns bring them Teacher's compassion enabling them to be clear-minded about the Fa without confusion or delusion. They do not just passively endure the persecution, but face the wicked people with righteous thoughts throughout the course, truly achieving "non-omission."

[China] Kind-Hearted Neighbors

I was arrested and illegally detained for one month. After being released, I moved elsewhere and rented a house. My neighbors are a university student and a junior high school student. I introduced the truth of the Fa to them with my personal experiences, and exposed the evil of Jiang Zemin's criminal group. Afterwards that university student said she frequently defended Falun Gong against injustices at her workplace. Somebody at her work unit tried to frighten her, saying: "Watch your words, you may be arrested!" She said: "What should I be afraid of? Falun Gong is just good. Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong is contrary to the will of the people!" That junior high school student told me: "We are all very sympathetic with you. One friend of mine is a reporter. He told me, secretly, that Falun Gong is very good, and what they report is all false news. Jiang persecutes Falun Gong out of his own selfish motives, but we (reporters) all know Falun Gong is good."

[Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] The Public Security Bureau Posts a Reward for the Arrest of Two Practitioners Who Print and Distribute Truth-Clarifying Literature

On May 8, the chief of the public security department of Guangdong Province and the director general of the Shenzhen Police Station led a team personally. They mobilized 40 police vehicles and several hundred policemen to surround Dexing Garden of Buji Town in Shenzhen. They blocked 28 street intersections to question passing pedestrians, conduct searches from house to house, and break down doors to enter those temporarily uninhabited rooms. Such actions lasted several hours causing public discontent. After careful inquires, it was revealed that the public security bureau posted a reward of 90,000 Yuan RMB to illegally hunt and arrest two Falun Dafa practitioners who were clarifying the truth to public.

[Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Xu Juhua is Tortured Once Again

Xu Juhua, a young female teacher of the specialized middle school of light industry of Guangzhou, whose body and mind benefited after cultivating Falun Dafa, was once evaluated as the "advanced worker" of the city. After July 20, 1999, because of her firmness in cultivating Falun Dafa and not saying one word against Dafa, her work unit expelled her from the Party and prohibited her from teaching, ordering her to sweep the grounds. During every "sensitive period" she was also often imprisoned.

In June 2000, the police once again arrested her without cause, and imprisoned her in places such as Tianhe Watch House in Guangzhou. Because she refused to sign the illegal documents, "the labor reeducation notice" and "the repentance letter," she suffered humiliation and torture in the watch house. Until now she has been faithful in her beliefs.

Recently, according to those who know the inside story, in order to further punish her and try and make her obey, the prison guards of this watch house again used heavy torture instruments and did not permit any visitors to see her.

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Unable to Photograph a Falun Dafa Practitioner

Falun Dafa practitioner Sun Ping, (female) from Shenyang, Liaoning Province went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa in mid-December. Because she refused to reveal her name, she was illegally detained for two months. Later she was transferred to Yucai Street Police Substation in Shijiazhuang. Because she refused to tell her name there too, police officers beat her cruelly. Then, after two months of detention, she was transferred to No.1 Detention Center in Shijiazhuang. During her detention, she went on a hunger strike for forty-two days and was force-fed four times. Prior to her transfer, the police needed to take pictures of her. Although they took the picture three times, no image appeared on the film. The photographer became worried and begged her, "Please don't use your supernormal abilities any more. If you do, I will be fired from my job." On May 9, 2001, she was sent back to Shenyang.

[Qionglai City] The Situation of Falun Dafa Practitioners Persecuted in Qionglai City

Falun Dafa practitioners, Ye Zhanfen, Qi Xiaomei (female), Hu Hui, Zeng Yuqing in Qionglai were illegally detained on November 2000 for printing and distributing Falun Dafa literature that clarifies the truth. The police beat Ye, Qi and other practitioners with electric batons. These practitioners are still in custody.

Gu Daihua and four other Falun Dafa practitioners from Heihutan, Sangyuan, and Qionglai were illegally taken away from their homes on May 9, 2001. Gu Daihua has been illegally detained on criminal charges, and the other four practitioners have been placed under administrative custody. We hope that kind-hearted people will pay attention to this matter.

[Fengrun City, Hebei Province] Arrested for Declaring Invalid Their Renouncements of Falun Dafa

Falun Dafa practitioners Ren Yuxiang (female) and Ren Yuling (female) were released from labor camps and arrested again recently for declaring their guarantee statements (statements which practitioners are forced to write to guarantee that they will not practice Falun Gong) to be invalid.

[Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Buddha-Light Illuminates Everywhere

In the "610 transformation class" in a district in Shenyang, Liaoning province, a police officer has heart disease. He said himself, "Why don't I feel bad when I come to the 'transformation class' (when it's his turn to be on duty)?" Practitioners told him that he had benefited from Falun Dafa. In response, he said to the practitioners, "How do you do the Falun Gong exercises. Teach me, and I will also practice. But don't tell anyone else."

[Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Examples of Retribution for Crimes

Xia Junkui, male, about 50 years old, is the secretary of the Party committee of an institute of education in Shenyang. He has launched a mass campaign to indoctrinate teenagers so they will resist Falun Gong. As a consequence, he died suddenly April 26, 2001.

Li Chi, female, 63 years old, is an actress for the Liaohe Art Ensemble in Liaozhong County who participated in shows that slandered Falun Gong. During one performance, when nearing the climax of the play, she suddenly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died on April 6. [Beijing] The Crimes of Zhang Hongxin of Dongfeng Police Station

Police officer, Zhang Hongxin, tortured Falun Dafa practitioners detained in Dongfeng Street Police Substation in Yanshan, Fangshan District, Beijing. The measures deployed were extremely cruel. Even the elderly and children were not spared. He also acted indecently towards female Falun Dafa practitioners. We hereby warn this villain that if he continues to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, he will surely receive retribution for his crimes.

[Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Arrested While Exchanging Cultivation Experiences

Around May 10, 2001, about 50~60 Falun Dafa practitioners in Qiqihar were illegally taken away from a resident's home while exchanging cultivation experiences. About 50~60 policemen from the police substation participated in this round up.
