Secretary General of Hubei Province, Jiao Junxian, Receives Retribution for His Heavy Involvement in Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners

[Minghui Net] Jiao Junxian, Secretary General of the Hubei Province Government, and former Party Secretary of Jingmen City, was detained on criminal charges October 11, 2000 and was later officially arrested on October 24, 2000. He was expelled from the Party on October 25, 2000. In June 2001, the court instituted his prosecution.

Since July 20, 1999, several hundred Falun Gong practitioners from Jingmen City have gone to Beijing to clarify the truth with their personal experiences. However, because Jiao Junxian actively took part in the severe crackdown against Falun Gong, which was organized by the "Gang of Jiang Zemin," Falun Gong practitioners from Jingmen were cruelly persecuted. Some were questioned, investigated, threatened and called in many times by the police, while others were sent to "brainwashing classes," and detained or sentenced with prison terms. It was said there was a top secret document from Jiang Zemin about the persecution of Falun Dafa in Jingmen City.

According to an article in the Hubei Daily by reporter Zhang Shihong (July 26, 1999),

Jiao Junxian said at a large meeting attended by Party officials of various levels from the city, "The fight against the Falun Gong organization is a serious political one. Therefore, all Party officials of various levels of the city must understand this and do your best in organizing the battle against Falun Gong without delay. This meeting has arranged strategies to deal with Falun Gong practitioners." Jingmen City has been targeted as a key area in this regard in Hubei Province. Up until now, dozens of Falun gong practitioners are still under detention at the Shayang Detention Center in Jingmen City. Due to Jiao's active involvement against Falun Gong, he was promoted and became the secretary general of Hubei province.

It has been reported that during his time as vice chairman of the Hubei Planning Committee, Mayor of Jingmen city, Party Secretary of Jingmen City and later Secretary General of Hubei Province, Jiao Junxian took advantage of his position and accepted bribes of up to eight hundred and sixty thousand Chinese Yuan. This case is under investigation by the Hubei Procuratorate (Investigation Bureau).

Due to his involvement in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, his illegal actions and his crime has been exposed. He was detained on October 11, 2000 and was officially arrested on October 24, 2000. On October 25, 2000, the Commission For Inspecting Discipline of Hubei Province publicly announced its investigation result: Jiao Junxian was expelled from the Party for his crime. The Commission also suggested that he be dismissed from his post as the representative of the 9^th Session of People's Congress of the Province and as the Secretary General of Hubei Province and that his case be transferred to the judicial office.

According to the report in China Procuration Daily (6/2/2001), the Hubei Province Procuratorate has officially instituted prosecution against Jiao Junxian, former secretary General of Hubei Province because of his huge bribery.

Thus, we would like to warn those who willingly joined Jiang Zemin and his gang: retribution is unavoidable when you persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Do not accumulate any more sins for yourselves and your family. (Source: Xinsheng Net)
