Severe Sand Storm Covers the City of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia
[Minghui Net] Around 4 PM on June 14, 2001, a severe sand storm assaulted
Inner Mongolia's capital of Hohhot City. The weather broadcast said the
gale-force storm was this year's strongest.
The sand storm hit Hohhot at 4:30 PM. Suddenly, a yellow cloud covered the
whole city. According to weather records, sand storms often occur between March
and May. It is unusual for a sand storm to occur in June when the weather is
hot.
Since July 20, 1999, when the vicious political gang of scoundrels of Jiang
Zemin's regime started to persecute Falun Gong, unusual and bizarre astronomical
phenomena have occurred frequently. In Inner Mongolia alone, three sand storms
blew in 6 days in March of this year.
Why do these storms seem to give special attention to Hohhot? Possibly
because it stands by the side of the evil political gang of scoundrels in the
Chinese government.
Since this New Year's Day, Hohhot police repeatedly raided Falun Gong
practitioners' homes, confiscated all Dafa materials and arrested the
practitioners.
A female practitioner was detained and abused because she went to Tiananmen
Square to clarify Dafa. The police chained her feet and sent her to Hohhot
Female Labor Camp, where the lead guard named Liu shocked her with an electric
baton. Later, deputy leader Chang Hong ordered her to be handcuffed and hung
above ground for a whole day. Even after they discovered that she was several
months pregnant, the vicious police still continued to torture her.
Zhang Tao (female) is an employee of Inner Mongolia's Ping'an Insurance
Company. On January 26, 2001, police officers from Dongfeng Street Police
Station ransacked her home and detained her for 24 hours. She is now under house
arrest in her hometown of Yikezhaomeng [a county].
Li Xudong (male, about 21 years old) was a senior student at Inner Mongolia's
Forest College. He was ordered to quit school after he refused to give up Falun
Gong. He also was denied job allocation by the school.
Authorities from the Inner Mongolian Security Bureau fired 32-year-old female
practitioner Fan Lei for her determination in practicing Falun Gong.
Hu Yujun (female, 56 years old) is an associate professor at Inner Mongolia's
Agriculture University. The police raided her home after she was found
distributing Dafa materials. She is now under house arrest.
Liu Zhiguo (male, about 40 years old) was a worker of the Hohhot Edible Oil
Factory. The police ransacked his home after he distributed Dafa materials. He
is now being held in the local detention center.
Xiao Hong (female, 30 years old) is a physician at Inner Mongolia's Hospital;
she was sentenced to 3-years in a labor camp. Her only "crime" was to
appeal to the government in Beijing to stop persecuting Falun Gong.
The law of the universe will not tolerate the persecution of Falun Gong. One
person's bad deed often brings about bad consequence for the whole family. If
the entire town turns their back on the crime, then everyone will have to bear
the consequences. Fellow human beings, wake up.
