Continuous Rainstorm Causes Heavy Flooding in Guangxi Province

[Minghui Net] According to the Central News Agency's report on June 15^th, Guangxi Province has been suffering from extremely heavy rainfall in recent days. In Wuxue city, the Xijiang River's water level raised again today, passing the warning line by 6.97 chi (Chi, a length unit, 3 chi = 1 meter) this afternoon.

Mr. Liu Shesong, the director of the Xijiang Disaster Recovery Office, stated that the disaster has caused 66 deaths and 3,198 injuries since May. The direct financial losses have risen to 1,700 million Chinese Yuan [approximately $2,125 U.S. Dollars].

Liu Shesong said that during this disastrous flood, nearly 70 cities and nine million people in Guangxi were affected. The flooding meant that more than 1,500 refugees were in great need of aid.

From May 1^st to June 13^th, 56 cities were found to have had more than 200 millimeters of rainfall. Because the heavy rainfall was centralized in some areas, many cities were flooded and had mudslides from the nearby mountains. Many fields, which were used for farming, were flooded with water and mud. Some houses collapsed, and more than 50,000 villages were surrounded by water.

The Guangxi Disaster Recovery Office indicated that the area affected by the flooding was vast. This was especially true for the fields that were used for farming where over 500,000 hectares were flooded and the refugee count was more than 1,500.

The devastating flooding is a result of those vicious scoundrels who are following Jiang Zemin's evil regime to torture and persecute Falun Gong practitioners. This is heaven's punishment and it is a warning to those people who no longer have human morality and are following Jiang Zemin's gang to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners.

Falun Dafa practitioner's houses in Guiyang city, Guizhou province, were illegally confiscated by the 610 Office [An office created by the government to deal specifically with issues related to Falun Gong] and its villains. They sent these practitioners to the Nanning First Detention Center in Guangzhou. The chief of the police department, Huang Yuandong, in Tantang town, in Guiyang city, dealt with Falun Dafa practitioners in an extremely cruel manner, such as beating them up and robbing their houses.

Many Falun Dafa practitioners in Guilin City, Guangxi Province, who went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution against Falun Dafa were arrested and persecuted. Many of them were sent to detention centers and labor camps. Liu Jiezhen was four months pregnant when she was sent to the labor camp, but the inhumane police officer said, "So what? Who cares if you are pregnant? You can have an abortion."

Mr. Huang Jinchun, one of the judges in Beihai Intermediate People's Court in Guangxi, practiced Falun Dafa and was therefore sent to a mental hospital. Besides being surrounded daily by the mental patients in the hospital, he also suffered from heavy sedative injections used on mental patients, which caused him to become mentally traumatized.

In April 2000, Dafa practitioners Yu Ping and Huang Lin from Lingshan, Guangxi, were arrested and put in jail. In jail, these two female Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike, and the police then brutally force-fed them. They carried on cruelly persecuting these two practitioners even after they had been on a hunger strike for eight days.

If you want to avoid heaven's punishment then you must stop the brutal and vicious persecution against Falun Dafa, gain back the morality that once belonged to all human beings but now has been abandoned, and treat Falun Dafa in a righteous way.
