Opening Remarks of 2001 Chicago Conference

June 24, 2001

Two years ago,

we were here, listening to Master's Teaching,

preparing for the forthcoming storms.

á

One year ago,

we were here, studying "The knowing heart", and "Towards consummation",

flipping to a new page of Fa rectification.

á

Today,

we are here, commemorating the glorious course of the past nine years',

completing the last chapter of Fa-rectification.

á

At this moment,

On the other side of the ocean

á evil forces are making desperate struggles.

Dafa disciples earth-shaking feats always

á encourage us to move forward.

á

When the evils were furious and reckless,

"taking Fa as our teacher,"

nothing can shake our determination to cultivate towards consummation.

When Master clears away evil obstacles,

hand-in-hand, we will breach the dark before dawn.

á

We know

á that we still have many attachments and much karma.

We know,

á that on the way to consummation,

á there exist many evils and tribulations.

á

We know

á that saving the lives from their past

á and creating the future of the universe

á are bestowals of Master's boundless compassion!

We know

á that the splendid future of the universe

á is closely related to our cultivation today

á and consummation in the future!

á

At this final stage of Fa-rectification,

we appeal to all Dafa disciples in heaven as well as in this world, let us together---

spread the righteous insights to start a new world,

clarify the truth to save sentient beings,

send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all evils,

and help Master by using divine powers to purify the whole world.
