[Minghui Net] "As true practitioners, we should look at issues from a very high level instead of from the perspective of everyday people." (Zhuan Falun, 3rd edition, December 1999, page 216.) In the midst of severe tribulations, Chinese practitioners might be tempted to wish that the evil forces would be destroyed quickly and tribulations would end soon. They tend to view things with their human emotion of hatred not yet eliminated, which causes one's divine side--the part that has achieved success through cultivation--to be artificially restrained, and less able to rectify the Fa. Hence, I would like to talk about my personal understanding about Fa-rectification.
Fa-rectification by Teacher is most divine, most magnificent and most compassionate. It would be much easier for Teacher not to bother with this and to let all beings who had deviated from the Fa end their existence with the disintegration of the old universe. By taking on this task, Teacher is expending his energy for all living creatures. He is providing salvation for all life beings; he is creating the new world from the very beginning; he is shaping the future. As Dafa practitioners, we are among the first to be saved by Teacher. Meanwhile, we are also committed to "Making a wish to save sentient beings, Assisting Teacher in his journey in this world. (Assisting the Fa)" Our "Making a wish to save sentient beings" should also be compassionate, since we are assisting Teacher in saving lives in this world. Fa-rectification is to save lives, not to destroy lives, and definitely not to take revenge. Therefore, every act of ours should be of "benevolent compassion and an act of mercy." There are evil beings that continue undermining Fa-rectification and obstructing the salvation of sentient beings. They are completely beyond salvation. Their extermination during Fa-rectification is in turn offering salvation to sentient beings and all living creatures. Thus it is truly benevolent and compassionate.
Then, why do the evil forces still exist and persist for so long? Teacher stated in his "Lecture at the Great Lakes Conference in North America," (December 9, 2001), "Then, in other words, all these things that they've done to test Dafa have become a performance in which their xinxing positions are being fully displayed and observed. At the same time, it happens that students have bad elements that have accumulated over the long course of their existence, as well as karma produced in low-level realms. All of these need to be eliminated." Teacher stated again in his "Coercion Cannot Change People's Hearts," (March 4, 2001), "All of this is merely to use the evil's performance to solidify Dafa and remove cultivators' fundamental attachments so as to free cultivators from the shackles of humanness and karma." Teacher made it more specific and clear in his article, "What Are Supernormal Abilities," (June 14, 2001): "At present, humankind's every day is arranged according to Dafa's needs; Dafa disciples' performance in the human world is to be left for history. In different historic times of the future, if in the cosmos damage to Dafa occurs or when beings perform differently, how Dafa will rectify the Fa and make everything perfect and indestructible is extremely important. Everything Dafa disciples are doing at present is creating the future, and right now everything in the Three Realms exists for Dafa. When Dafa has consummated everything amidst the tribulation, all of the evil that persecutes Dafa will be finished."
To clarify my understanding of these quotations: we must comprehend Fa-rectification from the perspective of the Fa, we must perceive evil rationally in order to ultimately "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence. (Rationality)" Wicked people are simply being exploited; even the human figure of Jiang Zemin in this realm is merely a clown being taken advantage of by the evil forces. Dafa has no enemy and nobody is worthy to be an enemy of Dafa practitioners. "Dafa disciples can endure anything..." (Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference, May 19, 2001.) As far as those wicked ones who have not received retributions in the human realm, it is because they still are perceived to have some value by the old (evil) forces that manipulate them. We should clearly and resolutely repudiate such arrangements of the old evil forces. We must sharply identify the target, and apply the purest and the most powerful righteous thoughts explicitly to eliminate them. We must urgently let them get the retributions that they should rightfully expect to receive so that they will not have further opportunity to persecute Dafa and Dafa practitioners.
We should comprehend Fa-rectification rationally. Only then can we soundly overcome this tribulation; only then can we firmly face the evil; only then can we look down at the evil ones who were pitiful to begin with; only then can we step over them without the slightest faltering; only then can we stand resolute and unperturbed; only then can we apply at will the great power of compassion bestowed upon us by Dafa to purge the evil forces during this persecution; only then can we wield the supernormal ability of Dafa without hindrance and disruptions by human attachments; only then can we genuinely emanate "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities."
