[Minghui Net] Falun Dafa practitioner Kong Qinghuang, male, 33 years old, a resident of Jianshui County, Yunnan Province, has been tortured to death. Kong Qinghuang graduated from the Department of Economics of Yunnan University. He was a certified accountant, and a government official. He was also a Party member and the deputy mayor of Linan Township for more than 5 years. He obtained Dafa in August 1997. He was very self-disciplined, but easygoing with others. After July 20, 1999, he kept practicing Falun Dafa, and he was prepared to safeguard Dafa with his life at anytime.

On April 7, 2000, he revealed the truth about Falun Dafa to government representatives that were attending a meeting on birth control. He told them the official news media was lying about Falun Dafa and our Teacher. He told them our Teacher was benevolent, and providing salvation to all beings. He hoped that all kindhearted people would view Dafa with a correct mind.

He was put under house arrest. They tried to brainwash him, and searched his home. On April 9, he was detained and charged with "misleading people." He was expelled from the Party, and dismissed from public office.

After hearing that he was detained, his father immediately passed away. The neighbors cursed Kong Qinghuang as a bad son who did not care for his family. He became confused momentarily and at the beginning of May wrote a "guarantee to not practice" Falun Gong. He went back to work on May 9.

On June 9, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. In the beginning, his wife Wang Jiayue was not a practitioner. Moved by his spirit, she decided to begin cultivation, and supported her husband to go and appeal. After Kong Qinghuang left, Wang Jiayue was closely watched and forcibly brainwashed. On June 23, she was arrested on her way to appeal, and detained with ten other practitioners in their county.

On June 28, 2000, Kong Qinghuang was arrested and detained, after returning from Beijing. He went on a hunger strike for 10 days, and was forcibly tube-fed once every 4-5 days. In the beginning of August, the wardens stopped tube-feeding him, but instead injected something into him once every 5-6 days. Around August 25, he was hospitalized for treatment. They drew 1 to 2 syringe tubes of blood from him daily. He became weak and went into a coma on September 2, and died on the evening of September 3. Several doctors came from the city of Kunming (capital of Yunnan Province) on September 2. They found his skin to be very yellow; they thought that he might have been poisoned. They did not know that so much blood had been taken from him.

During his last days of life, the local government said those at the hospital were "humanitarians," and "magnanimous." But, the hospital refused to release him. Since his wife was held in a brain washing class, hey did not even let her visit him until the last two minutes of his life. This is how "humanitarianism" was interpreted. Kong Qinghuang was on hunger strike for over 60 days. They should have given him some food and nutrition. On the contrary, the hospital drew 5-10 CC of his blood everyday. It is still unknown if they were using him in some twisted experiment or if they just do not have any common sense. They do not regard people as human; they used this method to torture Kong Qinghuang to death.

After he died, his wife requested the hospital to give an explanation on why they drew his blood everyday. They refused to reply. Someone else asked the vice secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital the same question, he answered, "I do not know."

After Kong Qinghuang was tortured to death, they lied to the public saying that he had been "bewildered by Falun Gong, violated the law, refused to be brainwashed, was stubborn, and estranged from the people." This reminded us of the "red terror" during the Cultural Revolution. Jiang Zemin said he wants to run the country by a legal system. Where is the law? Who is violating the Constitution? As the wife of the victim, Wang Jiayue calls on all kindhearted people of the world to pay close attention to this brutal action, and act together to stop the cruel murders!

Note: Wang Jiayue, Kong Qinghuang's wife, has been put into a labor camp, and has been severely tortured.
