A practitioner from Germany

[Minghui Net] On June 15 and 16, 2001, Falun Gong practitioners attended a large-scale church gathering in Frankfurt, Germany. Many religious groups and human rights organizations were represented. Falun Gong practitioners set up exhibition boards and a stage for demonstration near the sidewalk in the downtown area of the city, so as to expose the evil and clarify the truth to people.

As I passed copy after copy of truth-clarifying literature to the endless passersby, I felt happy from the bottom of my heart for the German people. I believed that as the evil forces that persecuted Dafa were gradually being eradicated from within the three realms, all human beings were gradually recovering their purity and vitality.

Many people were attracted by the demonstration of the exercises. Several passersby asked for the materials of their own accord, and inquired about the truth. Others signed the petition before speaking to any practitioners. One German lady tried to imitate the practitioners doing the third and fourth sets of the exercises.

There were many Chinese people coming and going. Most of them accepted our truth-clarifying literature. Some Chinese people came over and looked at the exhibition boards. Others talked with our fellow practitioners. One Chinese gentleman accepted the materials. When he left, he gave a thumbs-up sign and said loudly, "Falun Dafa is great!"

On one hand, I felt happy for the human beings who were awakening and having righteous thoughts. On the other hand, I felt shame for keeping hidden my old notions and ways of looking at people. I used to think that Germans were all conservative. I thought that it would not be easy for them to accept new things, and that they would have a difficult time accepting Dafa. Chinese people are introverted. They are cautious and play it safe, so it is not easy for them, either, to accept the truth and promote justice. As Master said in Zhuan Falun, "An everyday person is very weak. His messages are unstable and may change." (English version, p. 251) So, during the process of promoting the Fa and clarifying the truth, the everyday people we meet may want to accept Dafa and promote justice, but if they are influenced by negativity in the physical field of our thoughts, they may change their minds. Isn't this as good as harming them and delaying the process of Fa-rectification? Also, when we retain these old notions, we can hardly possess the great benevolence with which to save the world's people, nor can we have the pure heart to clarify the truth. The results will not be as good as expected. During the last phase of Fa-rectification, we should be constantly "eliminating the bad thoughts in our minds, notions, karma, and external interference." On one hand, in the process of change from being a human to being a god, we must learn to generate and possess strong righteous thoughts. On the other hand, and even more importantly, we must be responsible for Dafa and responsible for all the sentient beings of the universe.

After Master issued his new article To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference, I found that though many of our old notions have been eliminated, there are still many other notions stifling us, making us neglect our initiative. Master's new article has pointed out our shortcomings, and has stimulated us to strengthen our efforts in studying the Fa, eradicating all of our human notions, and giving up all of our attachments and selfishness. I think as a true particle that assimilates with the Fa, one will no longer be bound by old notions in doing work for Dafa. It will be done out of a pure and true nature. Just as Master said in the article Tao-Law, "One's enlightened original nature will know itself what to do." Then, whatever we do for Dafa will be done naturally, and there will be no notions involved.
