Cultivating into a Pure and Flawless Enlightened Being

[Minghui Net] In the recent period, many practitioners are continuously
publishing "solemn declarations" on Minghui net. By publishing the
declarations, they are trying to make such a point: to declare that their
so-called "guarantees" as a result of their compromising with the
evil, or their enlightening along the evil path caused by attachments and
demonic interference, are all invalid, and that they wish to double their
efforts to make amends and catch up with the Fa-Rectification process. The
publishing of such declarations strongly upsets and disturbs the old evil forces
and the vicious people who have been persecuting Dafa in the human society.
However, for practitioners who have committed serious mistakes, sided with the
evil, or taken the opposite side of Dafa, publishing a declaration is only the
beginning of sincerely wishing to correct the mistake and doubling the efforts
to make amends. It in no way indicates that a single declaration will cancel out
all sins and karma caused by conduct that damaged Dafa. It is a dangerous and
crooked idea to think that it is all right to give in to the evil in the face of
tests, or that a declaration will clear away all sins and karma after damaging
actions towards Dafa have been conducted. Notions like these may completely
destroy a cultivator.
Dafa is serious. Cultivation is a serious matter. In Zhuan Falun, Volume
II, Teacher says: "There's strict requirement for Right Fruit Status in
the heaven, not like what humans imagined." In fact, all thoughts of
Consummation aside, according to the past principle a practitioner would be
helpless if he wrote the guarantee letter in the face of the evil's persecution.
Just think about it: if an enlightened being has such a stain on himself, how
could he be qualified to return to his purest and most original place? Even if
it is allowed, without sufficient virtue, how could he meet the standard of the
Fa at that level? For those who could not abandon their own attachments and have
done things that damaged Dafa even without directly coming under the evil's
pressure, they also might face a similar dangerous situation.
Teacher used to say that it is only the inside disciples themselves that can
bring damage to Dafa. Many practitioners felt puzzled by this Fa principle when
Teacher taught it in the environment at that time. They questioned, "All
practitioners come here to practice cultivation, how can they bring damage to
Dafa? Could those people that bring damage to Dafa be the spies that have
sneaked in amongst our practitioners?" The fact is: Dafa is supernormal.
Even if spies sneaked in among the practitioners, they are still
"outsiders," and cannot turn into "inside disciples."
However, if in the course of cultivation practitioners still hold onto various
notions that belong to the old evil forces, or have even sided with the old evil
forces under the influence of deviated notions and did something wrong, the
degree of damage it can bring about will be vastly greater when compared with
damage caused by external factors. Since the practitioners are the beings that
are assimilating to Dafa, to allow Dafa disciples to have impurity and flaws is
as good as to allow the renewed Dafa particles to have impurity and flaws. Yet,
"Why must the Fa be rectified? Because the beings in the cosmos did not
meet the standard anymore. (Dafa is Indestructible)" That is why the
evil forces try every means to make the practitioners write guarantees to stop
practicing and interfere and create damage by utilizing the practitioners
attachments and karma. They are indeed destroying the beings and damaging Dafa.
Of course, Teacher does not acknowledge anything in this vicious test.
Because of this, the opportunity to write "solemn declarations" is
provided, and so is the constant waiting in great tribulations with great
forbearance; waiting for the practitioners who have not stepped forward to step
forward, and for those who have committed serious wrongdoing to make corrections
and double their efforts to make amends for damages they brought to Dafa. In
fact, not only Teacher, but also the disciples who have met the standard of
Consummation, or the future Buddhas, Taos and Gods of mighty virtue, are waiting
in great pain with great forbearance. If a practitioner is still writing such a
"guarantee to stop practicing" at this stage, he is not only being
irresponsible for his own life and for Dafa, but is committing a huge sin.
Thinking about it further this way: if we had made a vow with the Lord of
Buddhas before we came down here that, "I will cultivate in Dafa
steadfastly, be firm in rectifying the Fa amidst the tests, and seek to return
to my highest original place. I will never do anything that damages Dafa. Upon
breaking this vow, I will be punished in hell and never deserve to be saved.
This vow will be forever obeyed and never broken." Since the vow is made,
once we break it, we are blatantly deceiving the Lord of the Universe. In Dafa
is Indestructible, Teacher says, "Once a Dafa disciple has done what he
shouldn't do, if he isn't able to truly realize its severity and redeem the
losses he has brought to Dafa, everything and that millions upon millions of
years' wait will be fulfilled according to the vows made before history."
In fact, the life and death and tribulations in the human world are not
difficult. "Cultivation itself is not painful. The key lies in your
inability to let go of ordinary human attachments. Only when you are about to
let go of your reputation, interests, and feelings will you feel pain. (True
Cultivation)" For people who have cast off the flesh body for the sake
of safeguarding or validating Dafa, their life will only gain eternity in
incredible greatness. On the contrary, to enlighten in an evil way due to human
attachments, to betray or even damage Dafa, which creates all things in the
Universe and provides life to all beings at different levels of the Universe, is
truly a matter of existence or extinction for any being.
Teacher is benevolent to all beings, but that does not mean Dafa can lower
the standard for anyone. Dafa will rectify all that has deviated and no longer
meets the standard. The future enlightened beings will reach their most original
and primitive state, with some aspects becoming even better. Therefore, we
should exercise sufficient care in each step of our cultivation. Once a
practitioner has done something that he should not do, he needs to double the
effort to make amends. Recently, more and more practitioners went to Tiananmen
to validate Dafa, which is also an effective measure to make amends for the sins
that have been committed.
The Fa-Rectification process is pushing forward extremely rapidly. "A
Dafa disciple completely opposes everything arranged by the evil old forces.
Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save
all beings, and safeguard the Fa with determination, because you are a part of
Dafa, indestructible; rectify all that is not righteous. Those who are
"reformed" and those who are being saved can only be beings deceived
by the evil. Those who are being eliminated are the evil beings and the evil old
forces. Those who are reaching Consummation through all this are Dafa disciples;
and through all this Dafa's mighty virtue is established.(Dafa Is
Indestructible)"
Teacher does not want to leave behind a single disciple. But opportunities
should not be missed, as one cannot go back in time. My fellow practitioners,
let's study the Fa more conscientiously and encourage and help each other on the
path of cultivation within Fa-Rectification, so that we can make well-rounded
progress and meet Dafa's standard, live up to the title of "Dafa
disciples," and be worthy of Teacher's benevolent and painstaking
salvation.
