Ever since my childhood, I was physically feeble and constantly ill: constipation, gynaecological diseases, etc, which were not cured even though I took medicine frequently. During the first month of the lunar year in 1998, I was diagnosed by the hospital as suffering from myocarditis and myocardial infarction. It cost me more than RMB 1,900 Yuan after I was hospitalized for eleven days. My family was poor and had no money to pay for medical expenses. I really did not want to be a burden to my family, so I chose to leave the hospital and go home without my doctor's consent. After I went home, I was tortured so much by the ailment that I hardly had the strength to watch TV and walk. I was only 38 years old, but I always suffered from the illness. When I looked at those of my age who were healthy-looking and vivacious, while I was not comfortable either physically or mentally, and needed help from my family as well, I felt really sad. My relationships with my husband and mother-in-law were never good. We quarrelled and became cold and indifferent to each other very often. I felt dizzy in my head and became agitated easily. Our marriage had reached the point of collapsing. I often looked at the sky and complained that it was unfair, and asked why I had such a hard lot. Several times, I thought of committing suicide. But then I thought of my youngest daughter who was only six years old, and how pitiful she would be without her mother! So I had to grit my teeth and keep taking medicine every day. I took eighty to ninety doses of Chinese herbal medicine and spent several thousands RMB. But my health still did not improve. I felt so miserable, just like an insect dying from pesticide.
In November 1998, I was so lucky to obtain Falun Dafa. After only half a month of practice, I felt stronger and stronger every day. My body felt more and more comfortable. After only one month, all the symptoms mentioned above were gone. I felt energetic and ever since then, I became a healthy woman and never took a pill again. My mind also changed fundamentally. I always tried to follow the requirements of "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" and learned to think of others first. I showed my obedience and respect to my parents-in-law and stopped quarrelling with my husband. Before, it was the family who took care of me, but now, I actively offer to do all the work in the house and fields. Our family is full of happiness and laughter. I feel healthy and light-hearted. My excitement is far beyond expression. Sometimes I was so happy that I could hardly close my mouth. I told whomever I met that "Falun Dafa is good! You guys come and learn it too." People in my village who saw me always said: "Xiuyun has changed greatly."
Falun Dafa changed me fundamentally. It purified my body and mind. It was the great Dafa and honorable Teacher Li Hongzhi who gave me my second life and helped keep my family together. I feel sincerely that without Dafa, I would not enjoy my present happiness. Those who are true Falun Dafa practitioners will surely share with me in their solid cultivation the true existence and greatness of Falun Dafa. No force can change Falun Dafa practitioners' rock-solid hearts for Falun Dafa. No matter how rampant the evil forces are, Falun Dafa practitioners will surely safeguard the universal truth and clarify the truth to the world. I believe firmly that the road that I have chosen is definitely not wrong. I hope every one can enjoy the favor and grace of Falun Dafa. I will surely try with my greatest efforts to tell the world that "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" is the true great law of the universe.
