A Practitioner in China

On June 24, 2001, my older sister and I arrived at the Tiananmen city wall at 11:30 am. After finding a good position, I quickly jumped behind several armed police and plainclothes, opened up a banner that reads, "Zhen-Shan-Ren," and shouted to the whole universe, " Falun Dafa is good. Clear the good name of Master Li. Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa." My sister also opened up a banner from not far away while shouting out the words from her heart with a resonant voice.

Those police were shocked for quite a while before they charged towards us, beating and kicking us in front of many foreign tourists. No matter how those malevolent police beat us, we just continued to shout, "Falun Dafa is good." Those vicious police tried hard to pull us to the elevator and continued to beat us. They punched me in the chest and kicked me on the back and all over the body. My sister and I kept on shouting, "The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated. The Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime." She even kindly told them that it is wrong to beat up people and the principle of "good and evil will all be rewarded with equal returns." Upon hearing this, they became even more violent and beat us even harder. I was almost choked by the beating, but my sister and I did not fear a bit. We continued to repeat the words to eliminate evil that our benevolent Teacher taught us.

They activated the elevator when they felt that they had beaten us enough. As they dragged my sister and I to another room from the elevator, we kept on shouting loudly, "Falun Dafa is good." The police asked us how we transported the banners onto the city wall. We did not cooperate with them, and they started to beat us again. They dragged us to a police car when they found out that we would not tell anything. We said to them, "You cannot take us away because we did not break the law." One police officer asked those two that beat us just now if they had beaten us. They answered shamelessly that they did not. I thought in my mind, "You will definitely get retribution for all that you have done."

We were sent and detained in the Tiananmen Police Substation. There were 7 to 8 practitioners already there; among them were young people, as well as 50 to 60 year old senior citizens. They asked us how badly the cops had beaten us. I smiled, "I am fine." After a couple of minutes of discussion, we all felt that we must step out of the realm of human understanding to fulfill our vows made in prehistory. People from our local government and police station arrived in less than ten minutes; they heard that we had come to Beijing, so they came too and waited.

My sister and I both knew that we had not studied the Fa well enough. But we kept in our minds our Teacher's articles "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful," "What Are Supernormal Abilities" and the verses for eliminating evil. They slandered Teacher and Falun Dafa to our face; we were very upset about that. I thought that we did not cultivate well enough so that they could slander Teacher and Falun Dafa like that, then my sister and I starting telling them about the relationship between good and bad deeds and the retribution afterwards. Finally they had nothing to say but to quibble, "You can practice at home, nobody cares if you practice at home." We told them, "Why should we just practice at home secretly, we want to practice with dignity. We want to tell people the truth, including you."

They were not able to convince us, so they planned to send us back to our local area. My sister and I thought that we could not just tolerate passively, we could not cooperate with those vicious people, and we must leave. When arriving at a gas station beside the highway, we requested to go to the bathroom. They waited outside for us. The window of the restroom was open. But the guard came over to me the moment I tried to escape. I should have "frozen" him immediately using my righteous thoughts, but my fears came out. It was due to lack of determination and trust of Teacher's Dafa, and I was moved by many human notions. This time, the vicious police began to keep an even closer eye on me. He cuffed me with two pairs of handcuffs. My left hand was cuffed to the handrail, and right hand was handcuffed with my sister's left hand. In addition to locking me up with an extra handcuff, this vicious person even shouted and beat me. I kept on reciting Teacher's article "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful." There was still one thought on my mind: we must escape.

It was 8:00pm when we reached Yuanyang County of Henan province. The police wanted to eat dinner, so they parked the car on the roadside. My sister sent out righteous thoughts and the handcuff was unlocked right away. When the police came to unlock my handcuffs, my sister opened the door and ran forward. The vicious police had to leave me and ran to catch my sister. I realized that I should leave too. So I escaped. I did not consider the situation for my sister; I should have "frozen" that vicious police before I left.

The whole process had revealed that I did not learn Dafa well enough. I was not enlightened properly, and am far behind in the Teacher's process of Fa-rectification. I carried two handcuffs while walking, one on each hand. Sometimes I wanted to stop, but I was empowered when I recalled what Teacher said, "When it's difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it's impossible to do, you can do it." Sometimes, I was afraid of being caught again if I stopped. But I realized that I should not have these human thoughts, notions and karma. I used righteous thought to eliminate them. I walked until the dawn of the second day before I got onto a bus. My fear came out again when I was on the bus; I eliminated it with righteous thought right away.

The two pairs of handcuffs were still tightly locked on my hands, though the ends were off. I failed to understand it from the Fa's understanding, and tried to get rid of them through ordinary human ways. When I met other practitioners, they gave me hints, but I failed to be enlightened to it. Two practitioners sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, and the handcuffs came off on their own. These two handcuffs were very sturdy. The police had to take a lot of effort to open them with a key. My sister opened it with just one thought. But I had to rely on the help of other practitioners to open them. Ordinary people would find it to be unbelievable. But as a practitioner, with righteous enlightenment in the Dafa, sending out righteous thoughts can display the miracles of Dafa. This incident also encouraged us a great deal.

Later on I was informed that my sister had been taken back to our local area and sent to a farm.

In the future, I will be more solid on the path of clarifying the truth and assisting the Teacher in the human world, and follow closely to the process of Fa-rectification. (Several recent pictures attached)
