[Clearwisdom.net] Falun Dafa practitioner Wu Yueping is a Ph.D. candidate advisor in the Philosophy Department of Jilin University. At the end of April 2001, he was illegally arrested because he distributed Falun Dafa literature in order to dispel the official propaganda about Dafa. Professor Wu's students in China and overseas were all shocked and filled with indignation upon learning that he was being held for no good reason. They have gone into action utilizing all possible channels to request the unconditional release of Professor Wu.

China often declares that her future development relies on science and technology, attaching great importance to skilled personnel. Why was a skilled person like Professor Wu, who holds international reputation, beaten for no apparent reason and tortured for persisting in his personal beliefs?!
