1. [China] Take Note: Ill Motives behind the Nationwide Census on Rental
Properties
Chinese police will be conducting a nationwide census on rented apartments
and the transient population from July 3 to July 15, reportedly to check for
released criminals. According to credible sources, this action is in fact a plan
to carry out mass arrests of the thousands of Falun Gong practitioners who have
been left homeless as a result of the crackdown.
Fellow practitioners in various parts of the country, please pay attention to
your safety, "eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts" (quoted from
Teacher's article Dafa is Indestructible), and avoid any losses caused by
your oversight.
2. [Beijing] Jiang Zemin Criminal Gang Holds Statewide Brainwashing Classes
with the Wishful Thinking of Reforming All Falun Dafa Practitioners by October
According to sources in Beijing, those working for the brainwashing classes
have revealed that recent classes have been well planned and organized. Each
session takes about ten days. Practitioners who are still practicing Falun Gong
are targeted first, and then those who have promised to quit practicing will
also be forced to attend. The wishful thinking of the organizer is to reform all
the practitioners by October 2001.
Fellow practitioners please stay alert, maintain sufficient awareness of the
evil persecution, resolutely resist and eliminate the evil with righteous
thoughts, so as to defeat this wicked scheme arranged by the old forces.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] A Wicked Person Stopped in His Tracks
When a Falun Dafa Practitioner Uses Her Divine Powers and a Kind-hearted Taxi
Driver Brings the Practitioner to Safety
An elderly man caught a female Falun Dafa practitioner when she was posting
truth-clarifying materials in Changchun city, Jilin province. The elderly man
said, "How dare you still post these materials? I will escort you to the
police station now." He ignored all the kind words as the practitioner was
trying to tell him about Falun Dafa. Instead, he said, "My son works right
in the police station! And I only believe in the [name omitted] Party, and I
don't believe in Falun Gong." The practitioner tried to walk away, but the
elderly man held her tightly. And then she remembered the Teacher's article What
Are Supernormal Abilities, and wondered why she didn't use the supernormal
abilities to thwart the wicked person. So she said to him, "Freeze."
The elderly man stood right on the spot and was motionless. And the practitioner
was able to walk away from him immediately. After taking only a few steps, she
saw a taxi driving by. The practitioner said to the taxi driver, "I am a
Falun Gong practitioner, and someone is chasing me. Do you dare to drive me
away?" The driver replied while opening the door for her, "Get in the
car! I will protect you with my own life!"
Here we have seen the mighty power of Falun Dafa. Let us send our best wishes
to this taxi driver. At the same time, we also warn those wicked people to stop
assisting the tyranny in the persecution, otherwise the retribution is just
right ahead.
4. [Beijing] Please Pay Attention to the Kidnapped Falun Dafa Practitioner
Zhang Xiaojie in Beijing
According to credible sources, Gao Yaping, an accomplice with public security
officers helped kidnap Zhang Xiaojie, a female Falun Dafa practitioner, and her
young daughter. Gao has received praise in public from the police, and has been
appointed together with her husband Xue Xiaoping to be "security
officers" with specific responsibilities of monitoring Falun Gong
practitioners in the neighborhood. Security officers are required to file
immediate report if there is any Falun Gong activity.
After being kidnapped with her young daughter, Zhang Xiaojie was forced to
attend two sessions of brainwashing classes in isolation totaling 30 days. Zhang
has adhered to her belief and never caved in to pressure.
Zhang Xiaojie has been transferred to Dongcheng Detention Center, and her
relatives have picked up her young daughter.
5. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Practitioners of Gansu Province Remain
Faithful and Unyielding
The evil forces brought female Practitioner Ma Jun of Lanzhou city to a
court, attempting to sentence her to jail. During the court hearing, Ma Jun
argued vigorously on justifiable grounds. The other party's accusations were
completely demolished.
A trustworthy source said practitioner Ma Jun was illegally sentenced to
three years of forced labor on May 31. (In China, the police can send anyone to
labor camp without trial). Before this, she had already been illegally detained
in Dashaping Detention Center for a year and a half.
Practitioner Qian Shiguang was a Senior Engineer at the China Northwest
Geologic Research Institute. He has used his life to protect Falun Dafa many
times. Last June, he was illegally sentenced to a year and a half of forced
labor. In Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp of Lanzhou City, he kept on studying the
Fa and practicing the exercises. He was beaten severely. To protest, he went on
a hunger strike for 18 days and his life was in danger. The labor camp
authorities were afraid of taking responsibility so he was returned to his
family. Instead of dying at home (as expected by the evil forces), Qian Shiguang
recovered quickly. He soon began to go everywhere to tell people the truth and
do other Dafa related work. Not long ago, Qian was again sentenced to a year and
a half of forced labor at Ping'antai Labor Camp. An insider said Qian was hung
up high and brutally beaten; immediately after that he was escorted to the labor
camp. The details of the tortures are still unknown.
Female practitioner Fang Jianping and Zhao Yuying from Lanzhou City were
arrested while posting Dafa banners on the night of April 30. They were detained
in Dashaping Detention Center for over two months. On July 2, they were
sentenced to two years of forced labor and later sent to Ping'antai Labor Camp.
6. [Zhangzhou, Fujian Province] Evil Forces of Zhangzhou City Illegally
Sentence Falun Dafa Practitioners to Prison
The former Assistant of Falun Gong Assisting Center of Zhangzhou City Fujian
Province, (female practitioner) Chen Meifeng, was sentenced to 7 years
imprisonment; the reason given was that she had practiced Falun Gong with
several practitioners in Jiulong Park of Zhangzhou City in July and August 2000.
The former associate contact person of the Falun Gong Assistance Center Hu
Chunping was sentenced to forced labor this May. The reason given is that she
visited two friends who are practitioners in Fuzhou City for a few minutes.
7. [Xinjiang] Falun Dafa Practitioners Keep Their Faith while in Prison
Practitioner Chen Zhongquan from Xinjiang was illegally charged to a year and
a half of forced labor; he requested release but the prison guard responded with
a brutal beating. He has served the term but is still detained in Changji Forced
Labor Camp as of now.
Practitioner Zhao Aijun was previously a policeman of the Public Security
Bureau of Shihezi City Xinjiang Autonomous District. He was illegally charged to
forced labor at Changji Labor Camp. To protest the illegal detention and
persecution against the practitioners, he started a hunger strike. During the
hunger strike, the evil forces of the Labor Camp were scared and once negotiated
with him that if he gave up the hunger strike, they would allow him to study the
Fa and practice exercises in a separate cell. He said he was not doing this for
himself. He kept on with the hunger strike. His current condition is unknown.
8. [Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Qiong Refuses to Renounce
Dafa; Her Brainwashing Is Inexcusably Extended from Two Years to an
"Indefinite" Time
Li Qiong, a Guangdong female Dafa practitioner was illegally detained in the
Chatou Labor Camp. To get her to renounce Dafa, the labor camp officials
threatened her and her family members. If she still refused to renounce her
beliefs, her sentence of two years of brainwashing through forced labor would be
changed to an indefinite term.
The police in Guangdong have started a new round of arresting Dafa
practitioners. As a result, many practitioners have had no choice but to leave
home.
9. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Police send Falun Dafa Practitioner Xu
Hongliang to be Brainwashed through Forced Labor
On June 19, 2001, the vicious police arrested Dafa practitioner Xu Hongliang
from Qianxu village, Koubu County of Qingzhou City and sent her to be
brainwashed through forced labor at a camp in Changle of Weifang City.
10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Dafa practitioner Zhang Chunmei Is
Illegally Sentenced to Three Years of Brainwashing through Forced Labor
On June 16, Dafa practitioner Zhang Chunmei distributed Dafa materials on the
streets in Chengdu. She was illegally detained in the No.1 Detention Center at
Ningxia Street, Chengdu City. According to reliable sources, she was sentenced
to three years of brainwashing through forced labor. Zhang Chunmei firmly stated
that they could imprison and torture her, but she would never agree to stop
cultivating.
In addition, the eight Shuangqiaozi area Dafa practitioners arrested on June
26 (except one who succeeded in escaping after sending forth righteous thoughts)
were all illegally detained in Longquan of Chengdu City.
11. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] The Criminal Activity of the Public
Security Officers
The Political Security Section officials of the Huancui District Public
Security Bureau in Weihai City, Liu Jie and others are active pioneers in
persecuting Dafa practitioners. In July 1999, they illegally sentenced about 40
Dafa practitioners to brainwashing through forced labor. Some Dafa practitioners
should have been sent home to rest because they failed the physical examination.
Instead they were illegally detained. The criminals even threatened to send all
determined Dafa practitioners to labor camps. In April of this year, they
sentenced 4 female Dafa practitioners to 4 years of brainwashing through forced
labor. The labor camp refused to take these practitioners because they failed
the physical examination. They tried every means to make the labor camp take in
these four practitioners. Having failed, the vicious police Liu Jinhu, Wang
Zhaochen and Gong Jian brutally beat them instead. Recently, they held
brainwashing classes and sent the unbending Dafa practitioners, Yin Liying and
others, to labor camp for further persecution. Without notifying their family
members and without any legal procedure, they kidnapped some Dafa practitioners
including Wang Yuejuan, and sent them to Zhoucun Labor Camp.
Good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil. This is the course of
nature! A person must pay for all of the bad things he has done in the world.
12. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Illegally Sent to
Labor Camp
Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Longwei, male, more than 40 years old, is an
employee of the Educational Committee of Baoding city. He was recently sent to
Balizhuang Labor Camp illegally to do forced labor.
13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Crimes of Ying Shuqin of the
Liaozhong Agriculture Electric Bureau
Ying Shuqin, the Party Secretary of Liaozhong Agriculture Electric Bureau in
Shenyang city, Liaoning province has used despicable means in her participation
of the criminal persecution campaign against Falun Gong.
Ying Shuqin and her accomplices persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners in her
work unit by forcing practitioners to leave their shifts, dismissing them from
work, and sending them to labor camps, etc. After the practitioners were
transferred, dismissed from work, or forced to resign, Ying Shuqin brought her
two nieces in to take positions formerly held by practitioners.
During the signature drive that slandered Falun Gong, she coerced the female
employees in her work unit into signing their names against their own
consciences by threatening to deduct their salary bonuses. She also tried to
entice them with shirts valued at several dozen Yuan RMB. With this campaign,
she has dragged several hundred employees down with her into a deep abyss.
Ying Shuqin has already received retribution once in the past. Once, while
she was walking, she fell down all of a sudden, resulting in a big gash on her
face. And now, her arms have started to ache; this retribution is specifically
for organizing the signature campaign.
14. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Criminals in Qingzhou City
Gao Shuzhen, the director of the 610 office [an office created by the
government to deal specifically with issues related to Falun Gong] in
Qingzhou city, Shandong province, actively served as an accomplice of the
schemers of the persecution. During the last six months, Gao illegally arrested
and kidnapped Falun Dafa practitioners from many locations to forced them to
attend brainwashing classes. He has also deceived several brainwashed
practitioners into betraying Dafa by going about everywhere to spread lies.

In addition, near the end of the previous year, after Wu Bin and Guo Wenjie
became traitors in Weifang city, they actively cooperated with the malevolent
forces in Qingzhou city to deceive and delude Falun Dafa practitioners. They
were also given the authority to decide whether Falun Dafa practitioners in the
brainwashing classes could be released or not. In his zealotry, Wu Bin even rode
by bicycle to search for and arrest Falun Dafa practitioners. His foul deeds
have caused a very bad impact in the local area.
15. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Case Showing that Bad Deeds Provoke
Retribution
Zhang Xixin, a villager in Zhangjiaguan village, Cheliu town, Fangzi
district, Weifang city, Shandong province, often tore down flyers that clarified
the truth about Falun Dafa. In late June, while making a phone call from her
home, his wife suddenly had a cerebral hemorrhage and died. This is actually a
case in which one person has brought disaster to a family member through
generating such a large amount of karma.
