In China, supporters of the banned Falun Gong movement say ten followers have died in a detention camp after being tortured.

Tom O'Byrne reports, the new allegations come as international opinion is focused on the country's human rights record ahead of the decision on whether Beijing will host the 2008 Olympic games.

Supporters of the meditation [group] that's banned in China say the latest deaths took place in the Changlinzi detention camp. There's been no confirmation or denial of the allegation by Chinese authorities. The Falun Gong lobby claims that as with another reported mass death-in-custody last month, the ten deaths in Changlinzi were the result of torture. [...]
