Dear Participants:

Greetings to each of you!

I want to express my strong support for your right and the right of other practitioners to practice Falun Gong without persecution. I have joined with several other Members of Congress in co-sponsoring H. Con. Res. 68 which expresses the sense of Congress that the Government of the People's Republic of China should end persecution of all religious practitioners and safeguard fundamental human rights.

This resolution also urges the Chinese Government to adhere to such rights and release from detention all religious practitioners, Falun Gong members and prisoners of conscience. It is my hope that the citizens of China will be allowed to pursue their personal beliefs and that the Chinese government will observe the international Covenants on civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights.

As a Member of Congress, please know that I will continue to monitor this issue closely.
