[China] Pass the Checkpoint by Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts
In recent months, the vicious forces in x city have become more frenzied in
persecuting Dafa practitioners. Consequently, disciples printing and
distributing Dafa materials have been illegally arrested, and materials sources
in the city have become less and less. Under these circumstances, disciples in
nearby cities managed to have the Teacher's new articles and other materials
downloaded from Minghui Net delivered to disciples in this city. Since May 13,
in order to cut materials from other cities, strict examinations have been
conducted on vehicles and people from outside the city without exception. The
disciples, who brought materials that clarify the truth of Dafa with them, sent
forth their righteous thoughts. Amazingly, the disciples passed the checkpoint
safely with the materials undiscovered.
[China] Jiang's Political Gang Intensifies Persecution of Falun Gong After
"July 1st"
According to sources from inside the China Public Security System, Jiang's
political gang will carry out a new turn of persecution and suppression after
"July 1st." They will carry out a strict inspection of
on-line communication, make investigation on floating population, etc.
Practitioners who are arrested will be sent to force labor reeducation camps
right away. This order has been transmitted to police at the grass-roots level.
Besides that, in order to arouse public indignation and incite the exhausted
police against Falun Gong practitioners, they spread slanderous rumors that over
two thousand overseas Falun Gong practitioners were preventing China from
bidding to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. This is only one
instance of brazen in the extremes of Jiang's political gang.
[Beijing City] Beijing Investigation Office---A Vicious Institute Set Up for
Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners
Beijing Investigation Office was established in June 2000. It is a vicious
institute set up specifically for persecuting Dafa practitioners by Jiang's
malicious counterparts. Since its establishment, it has been brutally
persecuting Dafa disciples by contemptible means. Every Dafa disciple arrested
is forced to write a "statement of guarantee"; otherwise, he or she
will suffer from torture with electronic batons. In order to force some female
disciples, who were illegally arrested, to reveal their addresses, the thugs
stripped them and made them "stand" for long periods of time.
Since March 2001, they have carried on more frenzied torture means, for
instance, forcing Dafa disciples to squat for long hours with their hands held
above their heads.
[Lhasa, Tibet] The Present Situation of Dafa Disciples Being Persecuted in
Tibet
1. Zhao Hong, an employee of Lhasa Environmental Bureau, was sent to 3 years
of forced labor reeducation simply for writing to Li Peng, Chen Kuiyuan (former
Party secretary of Tibet Autonomous Region, and present Party secretary of Henan
province). No legal procedures have been undertaken. Furthermore, none of her
family members have received any notice of her arrest.
2. Yangjin, an employee of the Broadcasting and TV Bureau, was arrested in
Rikaze while promoting Dafa. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
3. Luo Na and Zhao Longzhi, a couple working in Lhasa Electricity Factory,
had once been arrested on the way to their hometown, with the excuse that
"they didn't inform their working unit about their trip." They were
sentenced to 3 years of forced labor reeducation for making an appeal, June
2001.
4. Fu Ping, an employee of the local archives, was arrested for going to
visit a friend.
5. In November 2000, eleven students from Beijing, who were studying in
Singapore, went to spread Dafa in Tibet. Two of them were arrested while the
whereabouts of the others are unknown.
6. Wang Binxiu lives under surveillance 24 hours a day. She has to ask for
leave from her working unit, even to go shopping for a half an hour.
[Zhengding County, Hebei Province] Zhen Lanrui Couple Are Arrested Illegally,
Leaving a 10-Year-Old Boy Alone
On June 27, when Zhen Lanrui and his spouse came back from outside, they were
illegally arrested by the indecent police waiting for them at their home. Their
daughter, a middle school student, boards at school. Their 10-year-old son was
left alone and unsupervised. In China, such tragic occurrences happen daily.

[Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Pictorial Display Slandering Falun Dafa
Incurs Disaster
In the Huadu District, the Guangzhou City 610 Office (the office in charge of
persecuting Falun Gong) cooperated with the Scientific Association and some
other evil institutes by holding a malicious pictorial display that slandered
Falun Dafa and Dafa's founder on Huadu New Century Square in the middle of June
2001. Because Dafa practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts to wipe out the
evils, the display was over quickly. Whoever persecutes Dafa will end in
shameful failure.
Female Dafa practitioner Chen Liping, who is an accountant, was sent to the
Guanggang 7B Ersha Island Female Labor Camp in June 2001 and she was sentenced
to two years of labor reeducation. She is the first practitioner being sent to
labor camp. She went to Beijing to appeal in July 1999. In July 2000, because
she refused to write a guarantee letter (guaranteeing that she wouldn't
practice Falun Gong anymore), she was sent to the Huadu Drug Rehabilitation
Center for brainwashing classes. She was released after over 10 days, however
her work unit dismissed her illegally. She was arrested again in November 2001
when she distributed some truth-clarifying literature. After being detained in
the Huadu Detention Center for half a month she was taken to the Huadu Drug
Rehabilitation Center where she suffered persecution until this June. Because
she again refused to write a guarantee letter in the brainwashing class held
from March to June, she was sentenced to two years of labor reeducation this
June and was sent to the Ersha Island Labor Camp. It is said that the police
there desperately torture practitioners who refuse to be transformed. We appeal
to all kind-hearted people: Pay attention to the safety of all practitioners in
the Ersha Island Labor Camp and help them.
Male Dafa practitioner Qiao Guangxin is the deputy director of the Huadu
Disabled People's Association. On his way to Beijing he was arrested. He was
taken to the Huadu Drug Rehabilitation Center to attend a brainwashing classes.
Later he was released on bail by his family. This March he was again deceived
into going to the Huadu Drug Rehabilitation Center's brainwashing class. He is
very steadfast and because of his refusal to write a guarantee letter he is
still in detention.
Female Dafa practitioner Wang Xia was arrested in November 2000. After being
detained in the Huadu Detention Center for half a month she was transferred to
the Huadu Drug Rehabilitation Center. Later she was released on bail by her
family. This March she was again deceived into attending the Huadu Drug
Rehabilitation Center's brainwashing class. Because she refused to write
guarantee letters she is still in detention.
Just because Falun Dafa practitioners pursue the truth of the universe,
namely Truth, Benevolence, and Forbearance, they suffer large-scale persecution
and could be tortured to death at any time. We hope the international community
pays attention to these events and gives help to these people.
[Beijing] A Captain from the Tuanhe Labor Camp Adopts Vile Means to Persecute
Falun Dafa Practitioners
Liu Jingbiao is the captain from a directly subordinate team of guards at the
Beijing Tuanhe Labor Camp. He has been a pioneer in persecuting Falun Dafa
practitioners since July 20, 1999 (His crimes were published on Minghui's
"News from China," on July 27, 2000). Recently he and Zhuang Xuhong,
the deputy chief of the Tuanhe Labor Camp, viciously encouraged prisoners to put
the picture of Master Li (the founder of Falun Gong) on the penis of
practitioner Gong Chengxi and put another one in his shoes. Also under their
encouragement, the prisoners ripped out practitioners' pubic hairs and used them
to harass Dafa practitioners. This behavior seriously humiliated Falun Dafa and
the Teacher, and also mentally wrecked Dafa practitioners.
In addition, Zhuang Xuhong, the deputy chief of the Beijing Tuanhe Labor Camp
who is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, was arrested for having relations
with a prostitute while in Beijing's Daxing District.

[Tangshan, Hebei Province] The Fengrun County Detention Center Persecutes
Dafa Practitioners
The Hebei Tangshan Fengrun County Detention Center has been detaining
practitioners since 1999. The County Public Security Bureau handcuffed Dafa
practitioners from behind and lashed them with whips. Some practitioners were
whipped to the point where they couldn't walk; their skin was torn and their
bodies were bleeding. Police also searched practitioner's clothes, taking away
all their money and personal possessions. The police then exerted pressure on
practitioners' families. Finally police sent practitioners to the Fengrun
Detention Center. In the detention center over 20 practitioners lived in one
cell and they were given only three steamed buns a day. The ward said that
matters were fine as long as the practitioners didn't starve to death. However,
the detention center required every practitioners to submit 20 Yuan (about
US$ 2.50) each day as an accommodation fee.
The detention center separated the Dafa practitioners into teams of three and
mixed them with prisoners. The wards asked prisoners to brutally beat Dafa
practitioners. They didn't even take mercy on an elderly practitioner who was
over 60 years old. They hung him up day in and day out until he lost
consciousness. Some prisoners seized practitioners and threw them against the
edge of a bed.
One night, Dafa practitioners studied the Fa together. Yu, a director of the
jail led five male wards and seven or eight male prisoners as they broke into a
female practitioner's cell with rubber batons. These thugs cursed and beat
practitioners. Some practitioners were beaten to the point where they couldn't
raise their arms, and some practitioner's bones were broken and others were
bleeding. A practitioner named Wang was beaten so severely that only until
recently has she been able to put on clothes by herself. The detention center
asked prisoners to force practitioners to write guarantee letters. If a
practitioner wrote it, the prisoner's sentence could be cut in half, reducing it
to one year. This detention center also extorted money from each practitioner.
[Tangshan, Hebei Province] Tangshan Police Illegally Detain Practitioners Lu
Xuejun and Liu Xinmei
Police from the Xin District Public Security Bureau of Tangshan City, Hebei
Province doubted that Falun Gong practitioners, the couple Lu Xuejun and Liu
Xinmei had distributed Falun Gong flyers. On June 28, 2001, being led by Zhang
Liansheng the director of the Public Security Bureau, police went to Lu and
Liu's home to arrest them. However, practitioners resisted arrest. Police
attempted to break into their home, causing people to come and see what was
going on.
Police had to watch outside the building for one whole day. Later on Lu
Xuejun and Liu Xinmei went out for some business and were forced into a police
car on the way. Police detained them in Xin District Detention Center of
Tangshan City. So far, they have been detained for 6 days. Their 8 year-old
daughter was left home alone with no one to take care of her.
All kind-hearted people, please pay attention to this matter and stop the
persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by Chinese government.

[Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Caixia Arrested
The personnel from the Security Division of the Harbin Industry University,
Harbin City Heilongjiang Province arrested Falun Gong practitioner Li Caixia,
again, a female university staff employee. Her whereabouts are unknown. Another
two Falun Dafa practitioners who were graduate students had gone to Beijing to
appeal. Their whereabouts are also unknown.

showed me an advertisement about a beauty parlor. I thought that's a good
opportunity to tell her the truth about the Falun Gong.
I asked her, "What do you think about my skin? "
She replied, "It's very good."
"Guess how old I am."
"I can't tell. You look very young."
"I am over 30!"
"Really!" She was surprised.
"There is a method that can keep you forever young: practicing Falun
Gong. It's a cultivation method of mind and body."
[Shanghai] Practitioner Zhao Hongdong Has Disappeared for One Month
Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Hongdong has disappeared for one month ever
