German Practitioners Hold SOS March in Berlin on July 20

(Clearwisdom.net)

At 9:30 a.m. on July 20, over 60 German practitioners gathered together in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, and started their commemorative activities of the day. First, a Caucasian practitioner read a letter of appeal, which was addressed to Foreign Minister (Mr. Fischer) from all the Dafa practitioners in Germany. In this letter, Dafa practitioners called on the German government to take action to stop the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China.

At 11:00 a.m. sharp, the march began in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the music of Pudu (Falun Dafa music), the march proceeded slowly along Main Street in downtown Berlin, a place with over 300 years of history. Practitioners held the wreaths in front of them, which displayed pictures of practitioners who were killed in the persecution in China. Big banners read "SOS! Urgent: Rescue the Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted in China." Moved by our solemn music, somber march, and righteous appeal, people who passed by accepted our materials that clarified the truth. Some even took the initiative to sign the letter of appeal.

At 2:00 p.m., practitioner representatives went into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the chairman of IGFM (International Association for Human Rights: Translated from German "Internationale Gesellschaft f r Menschenrechte"). Practitioner representatives submitted the appeal letter to Mr. Wrisznig, Assistant Director of the Eastern Asian Department, who is in charge of Chinese affairs. Practitioner representatives also submitted the 20,000 signatures collected during the signature-collecting events organized by IGFM. These three parties then talked for nearly one hour. Practitioner representatives introduced Falun Gong to the German government, and clarified the truth of the recent tragedy at the Wanjia Labor Camp. IGFM urged the German government to improve the human rights situation in China by taking substantive actions. During the talk, other practitioners gathered together in front of the Chinese embassy, doing exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts.
