Practitioners Being Held in the Pingantai Labor Camp in Gansu Province

My heart mourned after hearing the shocking news that fellow practitioner Song Yanzhao was beaten to death at Pingantai Labor Camp. Dafa practitioners, determined in practicing Dafa, protecting Dafa, and offering people salvation, are being thrown into hell to endure endless sufferings. Even under these circumstances, practitioners continue to use their compassion and tolerance to clarify the truth. These selfless actions are moving the heavens.

However, in order to protect themselves, the police would rather be Jiang Zemin's running dogs and openly persecute and torment practitioners using the cruelest and most inhumane methods. Currently, Pingantai Labor Camp has illegally jailed close to 200 practitioners; those of whom are suffering tortures from jail guards at every moment.

Below is a list of some practitioners who are currently jailed in Pingantai Labor Camp:

Li Jiankui (male): 51-year-old practitioner from Linxia County. Not long after July 20, 1999, the police broke into Li Jiankui's home, raided and smashed his belongings. Li was brought to the detention center and savagely beaten. He had to carry a box of Dafa information leaflets on his head after refusing to step on it. During the New Year of 2000, he was arrested by the Linxia County police. They handcuffed him to a sofa in a hotel and then stole and spent the only few hundred dollars he had. A few days later, he was brought to the Linxia Administrative Center and was violently beaten by the chief of the Linxia Police Department on numerous occasions. They hit his leg with a steel baton, causing him to be unable to walk for days. Later he was illegally detained at Linxia Detention Center. At the detention center, he was beaten and cruelly tortured numerous times.

One day it was snowing outside and Li Jiankui was ordered to stand in the snow for two hours until his whole body became numb. Another time during which prisoners were let out for exercise, a group of police surrounded him. They slapped, punched, kicked, and savagely stamped on him after he was pushed to the ground. One time, the chief ordered the police to handcuff his hands from behind with one hand on top and one below. They then forced a wooden rod that was about the diameter of a cup, between his hands and back. He was beaten until he fainted and beaten again after regaining consciousness. Later, the chief ordered ruffians from the same cell to beat him. More than ten ruffians lined up to take turns at beating him. Once, Li Jiankui was ordered to beat up a new inmate. When he refused, the wicked guards said to him, "If you don't hit him, we'll hit you." Thus, Li was beaten once again. The Linxia Police Department has jailed Li Jiankui in the detention center and tortured him for more than half a year. In addition, no relatives have been allowed to visit him during that time. Later, Li was sentenced to one year in labor camp and was transferred to the Pingantai Labor Camp in July 2000 to endure further tortures. At the labor camp, police Ma Wu, Wong Wenchang, and Wong Shenmin have all beaten him and also directed other ruffians to beat him.

Li Fuzhi (male): 34-year-old practitioner from Tianshui City (Gansu Province). He is a college graduate who worked at Tianshui Hongguang Mechanical Factory as an office worker. He was beaten badly when he went to Beijing in 2000 to appeal. He is now jailed at Pingantai Labor Camp. One time, Officer Dai (former head of the fifth troop and currently the section chief of Pingantai Labor Camp Administrative Division) gave Li Fuzhi beatings which resulted in severe injuries.

Ma Junyan: 31-year-old practitioner and college graduate from Baiyin City (Gansu Province). Ma was an office worker at Baiyin Electricity Department.

Zhang Luchan (female): 27-year-old practitioner and college graduate from Qilihe District in Lanzhou City (Gansu Province).

Niu Wanjiang (male): 39-year-old practitioner and technical college graduate from Qilihe District in Lanzhou City (Gansu Province). He was an office worker at the Qilihe Branch of Lanzhou Railway Department.

Gao Jun (male): 35-year-old practitioner and Master's graduate from Qilihe District in Lanzhou City (Gansu Province). He worked at the Scientific Research Department of Lanzhou Endangered Species Protection Unit.

Zhang Yanrong (male): 41-year-old practitioner and farmer from the town of Yongchang. He completed primary school.

Zhang Guangli (male): practitioner from Baiyin City (Gansu Province). He graduated from a technical college.

Wang Yichao (male): 52-year-old practitioner and farmer from Jintai City (Gansu Province). He completed primary school.

Li Wenming (male): 36-year-old practitioner from Qilihe District in Lanzhou City (Gansu Province).

Zhangfeng (male): 26-year-old practitioner from Wuwei City (Gansu Province). He graduated from a technical college.

Jin Jilin (male): practitioner from the town of Yuzhong. He graduated from high school.

Wong Maolin (male): practitioner from the town of Longxi. He is a high school teacher and a college graduate.

Yu Yozheng (female): practitioner from Jintai City (Gansu Province).

Shen Shiyong (male): 27-year-old practitioner and college graduate from Jiayuguan City (Gansu Province). He was an office worker at Jiaguguan City Electricity Department.

Zhang Rong (male): practitioner and college graduate from Huining City. He was a teacher at Huining Third High School.

Liu Xinsun (male): practitioner and college graduate from Huining City. He was a former teacher at Huining Third High School.
