Dafa Practitioner Cheng Caixia Dies Trying to Escape Illegal Persecution

(Clearwisdom) Dafa practitioner Cheng Caixia, female, 40 years old, is an employee of a trust company in the Zhangwan District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. In mid-December 2000, Cheng Caixia decided to exercise her constitutional rights, by going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. On the evening of December17^th, around 6pm, Beijing police arrested her illegally at West Changan Street, Beijing. On the morning of December 21st, police officer Sha from Shiyan liaison office in Beijing handed her over to people from Shiyan to be taken back to Shiyan police department for further persecution. In the early morning of December 22, 2000, in Henan Province, she jumped off the train, trying to escape from her captors and to warn other citizens of these ongoing abuses. Unfortunately, she died. Another Dafa practitioner has died and Jiang Zemin's regime is responsible.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin started slandering and persecuting Falun Gong. Cheng Caixia and many Falun Gong practitioners went to the government of Hubei Province to appeal and to clarify the true facts, and requested the unconditional release of the innocent practitioners who had been illegally arrested by the police department. When she returned, her company dismissed her in retaliation for acting on her constitutional right of appeal. Later the company changed it to probation. During that period, her company only paid Chang Caixia the minimum salary for basic living, and deprived her of all rights and privileges. She was assigned to the dirty and difficult work that no one else was willing to do, such as cleaning bathrooms. On June 24^th and 25^th, 2000, Cheng Caixia and a dozen other practitioners went to the Youth Square to practice Falun Gong openly. She was detained for one month in Dongyue police station. Later, she was fired by her company and lost her income.

During Cheng Caixia's detention in Shiyan liaison office in Beijing, she witnessed how police tortured Falun Gong practitioners. Physical punishments; brutal beatings that left bruises all over the body; handcuffs deeply cutting into the flesh; and so on. In freezing cold winter, policemen forced practitioners to stand on the ground bare feet and wearing only their underwear. This is how the "people's" policemen treated the kind and innocent people captured and assigned to them. The policemen cursed while they beat the practitioners. And they enjoyed torturing them. They shouted: "There is an order from our superiors. Torturing Falun Gong practitioners to death is not considered crime. You will die for nothing. And there is no place you can sue us."

Dafa practitioner Cheng Caixia died when she jumped off the train to escape from the vicious policemen, to regain her stolen freedom, and to reveal the continuing crimes of Jiang's regime to more people. Her death occurred solely because of the persecution at the hands of criminals such as Officer Sha of the Shiyan police department. However, in order to dodge their responsibility, the Shiyan police department went to Cheng Caixia's family members and bullied, threatened, and lied to them. Cheng Caixia's family was so scared that they didn't dare to question any details given them regarding her death. Such maltreatment to the family of a woman who died at the hands of criminals, compounds the inhumanity. This cannot be accepted!
