[Minghui Net] On April 19 of this year, thunderstorms and hail hit some counties and cities in Guizhou Province, causing 58 deaths. Thunderstorms, wind and hail caused severe damage to 19 counties in Guiyang City, capital of Guizhou Province. The hail was as large as 5.5cm in diameter. Over 16,000 houses were damaged by nature's assault, more than 3,000 people lost their homes, and 39 livestock died. The estimated total economic loss was over 74 million Yuan RMB.

Two months later, Guizhou province was flooded again. On June 24, most of the central and western areas of Guizhou Province were also plagued with rainstorms, including Anshun City, Liupanshui City, and Qianxinanzhou, etc. Some local areas had severe rainstorms. Due to the heavy rainfall, nearby areas also were damaged by the flood.

According to a report from the June 26 Guizhou Daily, heavy rainfall hit 5 counties, including 15 hydrometric stations. Among them, Guanling had the most rainfall of 116 mm (about 4.6 inches), Xiaoguankou Hydrometric station of Guanshun City had the second most with 105 mm, Pingba had 98.2 mm, Pan County had 85.7 mm, Liuzhi had 78.3 mm and Puan had 54.4 mm. Because the water levels were relatively low before this rainfall, the water level of the rivers in Guizhou Province has not exceeded the warning level until recently. Due to the heavy rainfall, some areas were hit by flooding. According to a preliminary estimation, in Anshun City, 4 counties and 13 towns were hit by the storm. The total affected area was about 64.4 thousand Mu (1 Mu = 0.16 acre). The disaster area was 33.2 thousand Mu; the direct economic loss was 2.7 million Yuan RMB. In Liuzhi Special District, Liupanshui City, 5 towns were affected, 166 houses were damaged, 6 houses collapsed, and the disaster area totaled 13.3 thousand Mu. The direct economic loss reached 1.43 million Yuan RMB.

These disasters are taking place because Falun Dafa practitioners are being unjustly persecuted. Such was the case of Xu Guangdao, a Dafa practitioner from Guizhou Province who was beaten to death because he went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Dafa. In addition, Duyun City has punished Dafa practitioners with illegal jail sentences and labor camp sentences. Furthermore, some thugs in Duyun City illegally tied up 17 practitioners who were arrested for going to Beijing to validate Dafa and for distributing flyers that clarified the truth of the persecution. Police also hung signs on the practitioners' chests to publicly humiliate them in a railway station. Those police officers harass practitioners in their homes, restrict practitioners' personal freedom, and spread rumors to slander Falun Gong, while providing themselves with excuses to escalate the persecution.

Good and evil will be met with retributions. The heavenly principle is always just. The only way to avoid disaster is to know the righteous from the evil, distinguish right from wrong, encourage kindness and combat viciousness, and follow the universal principles of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance" in everything. Only by adhering to these principles can people bring good futures to themselves and their relatives.
