Solemn Declaration

My name is Wang Cuili. I have gained great benefits from my practice of Falun Gong, which began in Shanghai in 1996. The diseases that haunted me in the past are gone. I have become more light-hearted and joyful. When Jiang Zemin and his followers banned Falun Gong, I went to Beijing several times to appeal. Gradually, however, I developed a degree of complacency. Lacking a deep understanding of Dafa, I didn't listen to the kind advice offered by other practitioners. Taking advantage of the attachments I had not let go of, the evil led me awry and I committed a great sin.

I was one of the people Teacher mentioned in his article "Deter Interference." I took part in all the activities initiated in Hong Kong by the vile person, Peng, such as the gathering on May 7, 2000 on Lantau Island, the May 11 parade, the July book exhibit, the attempted suicide by jumping from a building and the parade around the Buddha at Po-Lin Monastery on Lantau Island. I was Peng's spokesperson at the time, reporting distorted theories to the media and severely damaging Dafa. In addition, I wrote an article smearing Teacher's article "The Knowing Heart." I feel unworthy of the boundless benevolence and forbearance Teacher has shown, enduring tremendous tribulations in the course of offering salvation to all sentient beings.

I hereby solemnly state that all my drastic words and conduct from May 7 to August 10, 2000 were completely unconnected with Falun Dafa and I declare them to be void. I have begun practicing Falun Dafa again and declare that I will continue to be a steadfast Dafa practitioner. I apologize to Teacher and to Falun Dafa practitioners around the world. I also apologize solemnly to the people of Hong Kong.

In the following paragraphs, I will reveal the crimes committed by the vile person, Peng.

She sleeps during the day and acts at night. I never saw her practice the Falun Gong exercises and she doesn't even know how to do the fifth exercise.

The so-called Falun Gong Book Exhibit, the May 7 Gathering and the May 11 Parade were falsely claimed to be held in the name of Falun Dafa. In fact, Peng was collecting money, asking her followers to give everything they had to her. She claimed that they had a shallow understanding of Dafa and too many attachments and that only when they gave everything to her could they reach consummation. Thus she collected 40 million Hong Kong dollars. The apartment, houses, cars and parking lot that she bought, as well as the capital used to establish the company she opened all came from practitioners who had been misled and followed her.

Moreover, she colluded with Chinese secret agents on plans to damage Falun Dafa. Han Guo, an agent from Baodi, Tianjin province, directed a series of activities initiated by Peng, particularly the attempted mass suicide by jumping off a building. Han was on the10th floor, manipulating the talk with the police. Their stalling and refusal to budge led the police to block the road. People were furious at the resultant traffic jam and blamed it on Falun Gong.

During the time surrounding the parade on Lantau Island, the secret agent stayed up and talked the whole night with a practitioner who had come from Japan to join Peng's followers. The agent never talked about himself. He only asked practitioners what he wanted to know. The next morning, Peng asked us to join the parade but the agent Han Guo stayed in a nearby store to observe. He asked all kinds of information from the storeowner, such as "Who are these people? What are they doing?" After the parade, the owner told me there was an agent around and he pointed him out to me. I recognized that it was Han Guo. I immediately called Peng and told her, "Your friend Han Guo is an agent," but Peng scolded me and told me not to doubt her friend. After I woke up to my error and left the control of these evil people, I read in Teacher's article "Deter Interference" that "at present, those irrational, vile people are already under the manipulation of secret agents." I then fully realized that we who had followed Peng had in fact been under the control of Jiang Zemin's minions.

Therefore, I can say that all the activities initiated by Peng were not conducted on behalf of Falun Dafa. She used the name of Falun Dafa to cause damage and fool people who didn't know the truth. The ultimate purpose was to damage the reputation of Falun Dafa.

When my mind became clear in August 2000, I was in deep regret. I was afraid to die and be demolished in every dimension. I wanted to live, but worried that Teacher may not take me as a student any longer. If I couldn't cultivate, what was the point of living? I knelt in front of Teacher's portrait every day, asking Teacher to take care of me and saying in tears that I really wanted to go on with the cultivation practice. As long as Teacher would take me as a student, I was willing to pay for all I had done with my human body. As long as I was allowed to continue with cultivation, I was willing to endure all kinds of tribulations in this world. When I was at my lowest point, feeling extreme pain and worry that I could not continue my cultivation, a practitioner called and told me that a practitioner in America had said that as long as one practiced, Teacher would take care of him. I couldn't find words to describe my joy. I felt the unparalleled benevolence of Teacher. He saved someone like me from hell and once again was willing to bear a great deal for me. Words can hardly describe Teacher's great benevolence. All I can do is to make diligent progress and make up for the damages I caused Dafa. I hereby declare that I will now keep up with the Fa rectification and become a genuine cultivator of Falun Dafa.

Solemn Statement

A branch of the 610 Office (an office set up for persecuting Falun Gong) detained me when I went to China to visit my family in May 2001. Not having let go of many human attachments, I failed to fulfill a Falun Dafa student's duty to safeguard the Fa. To the contrary, I gave in to the forces of evil and wrote a "Promise Statement". I was smearing Falun Dafa. I did what a Falun Dafa practitioner shouldn't do and left a black mark on my path of cultivation. I feel unworthy of Teacher's salvation and can hardly find words to express my regret. All I can do is to wash away my disgrace by speaking out the truth and revealing the evil acts of those in China who persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. I will return to the task of Fa rectification and follow Teacher closely.

I hereby solemnly state that all that I wrote, all that I said and all that I did in front of a camera or allowed them to otherwise document during my detention in Guangzhou that was not in accordance with Dafa is void. I will steadfastly practice Falun Dafa and follow "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance." I will send out righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil and help Teacher in Fa rectification. I also warn those who are following Jiang Zemin's evil group persecuting Falun Dafa that if you do not stop your vicious conduct, you will receive retribution.
