Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts in Front of the Chinese Embassy during the Washington DC International Conference

(Clearwisdom Net) The Washington DC Falun Dafa conference was held at the Kennedy Center on the morning of July 21, 2001. Although the concert hall was quite big, it could not accommodate all of the practitioners. Among those who could not fit in the concert hall, more than twenty went to the meadow in front of the Chinese Embassy to practice the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. Dressed neatly and formally, practitioners sat with legs crossed in rows on the grass facing Connecticut Avenue. That morning the atmosphere was especially solemn during the two-hour practice and sending forth righteous thoughts. Some passing vehicles beeped in salute to these practitioners. Many passengers came over to take photos, including some police officers that were on duty nearby.

More and more practitioners joined in at around noon. Under the scorching sun, they sent righteous thoughts together again and again. At about three o'clock in the afternoon, a practitioner brought news that our respected Teacher had attended the conference. Many practitioners were excited while tears filled their eyes. Surrounded by the noisy traffic, under the tree in the center of the grass, the practitioners listened to a recording of Teacher's speech. A veteran female practitioner who had given her ticket to the conference to others, and now sat close to the recorder, again left her spot, giving it to other practitioners.

Dafa practitioners from all over the world had gathered in the United States capital. Regardless of whether one had a place inside the hall or had gathered in front of the embassy to send forth righteous thoughts, together we have successfully accomplished holding this sacred, solemn, and historically significant Fa conference.
