I read many times Teacher's article "The Effect of Righteous Thoughts." The more I read, the clearer my mind became and the deeper my understanding of the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. In "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference," "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful," and "What Are Supernormal Abilities," Teacher has described the effects of righteous thoughts. In his articles, Teacher explained the effects of righteous thoughts during Fa-rectification, how infinitely massive are the cosmic bodies and the entire colossal firmament, and the immense force of Fa-rectification. These enable us to understand how we can fulfill the great responsibility we are given in this special historic period.

Only by truly understanding the effects of righteous thoughts, by keeping up Fa-rectification, and by steadfastly eliminating the evil can we accomplish our mission. When I understood further the concept of righteous thoughts, I realized that Teacher had talked about righteous thoughts many times in Zhuan Falun. For example, "When one's Buddha-nature emerges, it will shake 'the world of ten directions.'" "Supernormal Abilities and Gong Potency," "Heavenly Circuit," "Mind-Intent," "Martial Arts Qigong" and so on. In "Mind-Intent," Teacher said, "For a practitioner, one's mind-intent dictates supernormal abilities to do things. For an everyday person, one's mind-intent directs the four limbs and the sensory organs to work, just like the production office in a factory: The director's office issues orders to each department of specific functions to carry out duties."

The purpose of [human] life is to return to our original, true selves. Dafa practitioners are assimilating into the universal principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance," and we are returning to our original natures during cultivation. At different levels during cultivation, our righteous thoughts have different power, but all these come from a deep understanding of the Fa, the upgrading of levels and fundamental changes manifested by the formation of our newer being during Fa-rectification.

The greater understanding of the Fa made me feel an inner change. The enlightened side is becoming more steadfast, and the power of my Mind-Intent to direct Gong is also strengthened. My sending forth righteous thoughts in a group has also changed. Initially, my mind was unstable while sending forth righteous thoughts. Sometimes, I worried that my thoughts were ineffective. This was the influence of my human side. In "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference," Teacher said, "Why do you have an ability like this? It's only because you are a great cultivator that you have an ability like this. So when you send out that thought it couldn't have been sent by anyone but a great cultivator."

Another important realization I had is that we need to make solid progress during genuine cultivation, and that righteous thoughts and compassion only come as a result of cultivation. This requires us to clarify the truth, confront people who are misled by the media propaganda in China, unveil the viciousness of Jiang Zemin's regime to the news media and government and truly melt into Fa-rectification. I was often in tears when I was handing out Dafa material in busy traffic. I know it was not simply the "sentiment" from my human side. I believe it was my true nature that was in tears.

In "Expounding on the Fa," Teacher said, "Be aware: I am not asking you to do something. I am only trying to make you understand the principles of the Fa so that you will have a clear understanding of this. In fact, Dafa is not only to save human beings--it is also taught to all beings in the various dimensions. Your enlightened, original nature will automatically know what to do. Cherishing your human side enables you to enlighten to and ascend in the Fa. Dafa is harmonizing all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are also harmonizing Dafa."
