To Whom it May Concern:

As a New Jersey Assemblywoman representing Edison Township, the sister city to Shijiazhuang City in the Hebei Province of the People's Republic of China, I write to express my sincere concern over the recent persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Recent media coverage has highlighted several instances in this city where practitioners have been arrested, sent to labor camps, tortured and even beaten. These actions are particularly disturbing as they strip a person's basic human rights and civil liberties which many people across the world have struggled to secure.

For this reason, I join the United States Government in stating that this behavior is deeply disturbing and should not be allowed to continue. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter of concern.
