Seattle Practitioners Promote Dafa at the Seattle Center

Sunday, August 5th, more than 25 Seattle practitioners held an educational event at the Seattle Center, which is a gathering place for culture, art and sightseeing for locals as well as for people from out of town.

Set-up and delegation of duties went smoothly. Our huge banners, "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" caught people's attention. We started at 11:00 am. The crowds were sparse at that time. Practitioners wearing golden T-shirts gathered on the Mural Amp-Theater stage to do the exercises. One of the practitioners loaned us his speaker system so that Master Li's voice and the exercise music could be heard loud and clear. Soon, more and more people stopped by to watch and we handed out lots of Dafa literature. Some passers-by came to look at the bulletin boards and the huge Falun emblem. Soon, young and old joined us below the stage area to follow along with the exercises. Observing the serious way in which people were attracted to the exercises made us feel Dafa's solemnity and greatness.

One little boy, maybe four years old, watched us do the exercises and followed right along with us. Nobody had taught him. He ignored his little sister who played close by. Maybe he is a little practitioner already. His sincere, pure heart touched my heart. I felt that he was so lucky to be part of us here and felt that our teacher is so kind to save one more person!

We demonstrated the five exercises repeatedly over the course of a 2 hour period, feeling full of energy, yet peaceful and serene.

We know there are many people in the Seattle area who have not yet heard of the Fa and don't know about Falun Gong. In the past, when we attempted to hand out materials, or had contact with the general population or government officials out of our concern for human rights in China, or Falun Gong, people would avoid us. More recently, people have stretched out their hands and reached for Falun Gong materials and have been more open to listen to explanations about Falun Gong. It seems that Falun Gong is gradually entering people's hearts.

As Dafa particles during this Fa-rectification period, we will follow Teacher's words to "validate the Fa with Reason; clarify the truth with wisdom; promote Dafa and save people with compassion." We will strive toward Consummation as we protect and promote the Fa and will not fail to live up to Teacher's expectations.
