On August 8, practitioners from Las Vegas and Los Angeles jointly held a press conference on the roof garden of the Federal Building in downtown Las Vegas to send the SOS message, expose the crimes committed by Jiang Zemin's scoundrel regime, clarify the truth to people in the world, and call for support to rescue the Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China.

Media showed great interest in the press conference. Reporters from CBS, ABC, Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas Tribune and two Chinese newspapers conducted interviews. Two TV stations reported the press conference in their afternoon and evening news. Two newspapers published articles with pictures about the event.

US Senator John Ensign sent a letter to practitioners for support.
