1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Torture Young Female Student
The Public Security Bureau in Changchun City, Jilin Province has illegally
detained me in Tiebei Detention Center, where I have witnessed the inhumane
torture of Falun Dafa practitioners illegally detained here. A young female
student in her 20's was taken alone [from the Detention Center] to the Public
Security Bureau in Changchun City for interrogation and torture. On the first
day of the interrogation she was severely beaten and couldn't get out of bed.
But she was taken there again the next day. This time, they put the "Dagua
device" on her, which is a heavy torture instrument that clips around all a
person's fingers and squeezes them with great force. When she was sent back to
the cell, another female inmate asked her sympathetically, "Child, how did
you endure that?" The young practitioner said calmly, "I'm a Falun
Dafa practitioner." The inmates in her cell all admired her. She was
finally sent to forced labor camp. Nearly every practitioner who has been
detained by the Public Security Bureau in Changchun City has experienced
physical torture.
2. [Hebei Province] Local Government Hires People To Pose as Falun Dafa
Practitioners and Attend A Brainwashing Class
Around July 1, 2001, the local governments in Hebei Province once again
received secret orders from Jiang Zemin, "the Human Rights Scoundrel,"
(a name given to him by Amnesty International) to give another round of
forced "re-education" to Falun Dafa practitioners. Some officials in a
town came up with an idea. They hired some farmers in the local area who had
never practiced Falun Dafa, and paid them 15 Yuan per day (note: the average
monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan) to pose as Falun Dafa
practitioners and attend a brainwashing class. They asked them to act like real
practitioners and not give in when higher authorities came to do inspection, but
to write a letter quitting the practice at the end of the class. Thus the
officials could report to higher authorities that they had met their quota for
the number of "practitioners" that had been "re-educated"
into giving up Falun Dafa practice. They didn't put any real practitioners in
the class. It has become a joke in the local area. The indestructibility of Dafa
practitioners is more evident to people now.
The persecution of Falun Dafa has been going on for two years in China and
has brought misery to the lives of tens of millions of people. Officials at all
levels are complaining. Falun Dafa practitioners stand tall under the tyrannical
oppression, steadfast with righteous thoughts and giving no thought to life and
death. That makes the officials helpless. Many of them have given up pressuring
practitioners.
3. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Police Kidnap Falun Dafa Practitioners
Falun Dafa practitioner Li Ruiling was arrested on the evening of June 14
when distributing flyers about Falun Dafa and is now being illegally detained in
Heizhuang Detention Center.
Practitioner Sun Jinghong (with a several-month-old baby at home), Zhou
Hongying, and Yan Liping, were kidnapped from their homes by policemen in
Zhengzhou City and illegally detained.
4. [Huaiyang City, Jiangsu Province] Police Ransack Practitioner's Home
On July 31, 2001, at 6:40 p.m., Ren Wei, Director of the Public Security
Bureau in Huaiyang City took some policemen with him in three cars and drove
to practitioner Zhang Li's home on Xinjian Street in Sun Village, Beiguan
[District]. Nobody was home. They illegally broke into Zhang's house and
searched around. They took 1,700 Yuan in cash, smashed the furniture, and
left. They denied their crime afterwards. Because Zhang Li's home is not safe
now, he is forced to leave home and wander about.
5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Police Brutally Arrest Four Falun Dafa
Practitioners
In the beginning of July, police arrested four practitioners in Dehui City
who have access to Falun Dafa websites and equipment to print the downloaded
materials. According to reliable sources, it was the Public Security Bureau in
Changchun City who led the action, with the assistance of their counterpart in
Dehui City. Witnesses to the arrest report that the four practitioners were tied
up and taken away. A male practitioner was stripped and beaten right on the
spot. They are now being detained in Changchun City. Practitioners, let's send
forth righteous thoughts to rescue our fellow practitioners in jail.
6. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Practitioners in Xiguoyuan Detention Center
in Stay Steadfast under Brutal Torture
Recently, some practitioners who came out from Xiguoyuan Detention Center
told us about the harsh conditions inside:
More than ten people crowd together in a cell that is less than 90 square
feet (including the bathroom). Practitioners have been detained there for a long
time without any change of clothes. They have lice in their hair and on their
bodies and the smell is unbearable.
The weather has been very hot and humid but the cruel police have
intentionally limited the amount of water available to practitioners. However,
the practitioners encourage each other and every one of them is steadfast. These
practitioners' names are:
Han Yuping, 28, from Minqin County, detained since March 2001.
Tan Xiaorong, 28, a Ph. D. student of Lanzhou University, detained since May
2001.
No. 001,unidentified (she did not give the police her name),detained
since July 2001.
Du Lanping, 48, detained since January 2001.
Lian Cuifang, 46, detained since Jan. 2, 2001.
Wang Xiaoqing, 28, detained since March 2001.
Xue Huilan, 58, detained since January 2001.
Some of the practitioners are not from the local area and have not received
many visits from their families, resulting in a severe shortage of necessities.
Du Lanping in particular is from a poor family and she is presently in a very
weaken state.
Tian Qingping is the head of the No. 14 Group in Xiguoyuan Detention Center,
and has revealed a cruel wicked nature towards practitioners. He/she often uses
severe physical torture on Dafa practitioners by hanging them up and beating
them. He/she also denies them the liberty of taking breaks outside the cell and
also placed drug dealers in charge, who often beat Dafa practitioners and take
away their necessities. In order to get a promotion as a director of the
detention center, Tian Qingping unscrupulously tortures practitioners.
Names of two Vicious Policemen in Lanzhou City:
Zhu Xinshan and Chu Jianhua from Tumendun Police Station in Qilihe Town. They
search everywhere and kidnap Dafa practitioners.
7. [China] My Experience of Eliminating The Evil with Righteous Thoughts
Ever since Teacher told us that we could eliminate the evil beings with our
righteous thoughts, I have been doing it frequently.
One night, my elder brother and I sat on the floor and started to eliminate
the evil with righteous thoughts. While in the tranquil state a black shadow
gradually appeared in front of me and jumped toward me. The shadow became
clearer and what appeared was an evil frog, half the height of a human being
with blood red eyes. It opened its mouth and out came out a beam of light. I
immediately started to recite the verse that Teacher taught us. Suddenly I
realized that it was my attachment of fear that had made my thoughts not so
righteous. I calmed down and tried to eliminate my attachments of fear and
suspicion. With the righteous thoughts of a Dafa particle, I recited the verse.
Then I saw a row of light balls coming out of my palm and they attacked the
frog. The frog jumped back and shrank at every attack of the light ball finally
disappearing.
Several days ago, I was sending forth, righteous thoughts. Right after
entering into the state of tranquility a vast space appeared with dark clouds
hiding the sun. A huge monster with eyes like light bulbs charged at me,
followed by numerous small demons. I immediately waved my sword and started to
fight. Just then a deity warrior in golden armor suddenly flew out from my body
with a weapon in his hand. He flew up and down attacking the monster eliminating
it in no time. The small demons ran for their lives in all directions towards
the mountains and plains. While the warrior was eliminating the small demons, I
sat and watched him. When I came out of tranquility, he flew to me and
disappeared.
8. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Police Break into Residents' Houses to
Kidnap Dafa Practitioners
On July 19, around midnight, Dafa practitioner Wang Liyu and Guo Runfeng were
taken by force from their homes by policemen from Gongzhuling Police Department.
Presently they are still detained in the detention center of Gongzhuling Police
Department and have suffered severe torture.
We hope that all Dafa practitioners who see this message can send forth,
righteous thoughts and help the practitioners to get out. At the same time, we
hope the kind-hearted people can extend their help so that the practitioners
illegally detained can be released soon. We also solemnly notify the evil
people: those who persecute Dafa practitioners will for sure suffer retribution.
9. [Min County, Gansu Province] Unlawful Officials in Min County Persecute
Dafa Practitioners, Bringong on a Huge and Violent Flood
Min County is a small and destitute county in a remote area of Gansu
Province. After July 22, 1999, the County Committee of Politics and Law and the
Police Department arrested dozens of Dafa practitioners and tried to force them
to write pledges against Dafa. They also extorted 200 Yuan from each
practitioner. (the average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan)
They severely tortured those who refuse to write pledges. In the following two
years they have limited the freedom of Dafa practitioners by spying on them and
forcing them to report at a fixed time. In the "brain-wash class,"
they do not allow practitioners to raise their heads; otherwise they would beat
them savagely or resort to some other means of humiliation. Some local officials
frenziedly attack Dafa and its founder in the "brain-wash class". The
immense crimes committed toward Falun Dafa by the unlawful officials of Min
County inflict wrath from the people and heaven. On the morning of July 24,
2001, an unprecedented violent flood attacked the county. Here is our advice to
the officials in Min County: immediately turn away from the wrong path and treat
Dafa practitioners compassionately.
10. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] The Tragic End of a Person who
"Sold his Soul to Satan"
Song Wenrong from Weihai, Shandong province use to practice Falun Gong. After
July 22, 1999, he went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal. In spring of
2000, he was sentenced to three years in a labor camp. In Jinan Labor Camp, Song
was enlightened along an evil path. By the end of year 2000, he wrote a
statement denouncing Falun Gong and was released ahead of time. In the spring of
2001, Song went to the "brain-wash class" in Weihai City to slander
Falun Dafa and its teacher. The Dafa practitioners in the class resisted his
words. One day in March 2001, Song Wenrong suddenly died on the street. Song
received the retribution he incurred for damaging Falun Dafa. His death shocked
the local community.
