Quiet and steady, the hand of history unrolls a picture of a titanic battle between righteousness and evil in front of all people around the world. Silent and thorough, the eyes of the universe observe the position of every heart and every action taken in this real life evolving picture -- the central theme -- the repression and persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong rose from an anxious society of moral corruption and monetary worship. Its teachings of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" and the peaceful, pure and healthy way of living touched many people's hearts. Falun Gong spread in China faster than any other spiritual teaching in history. By 1999, government survey indicated that at least 70 million people in China alone were studying Falun Gong including many government officials, society's elite, and party members.

In 80 years, the party had only amassed approximately 65 million members. The totalitarian regime of Jiang Zemin interpreted the popularity of Falun Gong as a "threat" to his rule.

Jiang Zemin saw "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" and peaceful nature of Falun Gong as weakness, Jiang Zemin ordered his regime to "use all measures necessary to exterminate Falun Gong" and "demonize their reputation, exhaust their personal finances, and eliminate them physically." "No measures are considered too excessive." [to eliminate Falun Gong]

As a result:

• On June 10, a system of offices code named "610 Offices" were set up in each province, city, and town, for the sole purpose of the systematic and brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
• All of China's radio stations, television stations and the press were used to demonize Falun Gong, to fabricate and spread lies to turn the public against the once respected Falun Gong.
• The legal system in the entire country was used to persecute Falun Gong: New laws and rules (against the constitution) were created to specifically target Falun Gong and no lawyers were allowed to represent Falun Gong in China.
• The entire police system in China, including state and public security systems, the army, spies and diplomatic means, were used to supress Falun Gong.
• The whole governmental administrative structure including national and local "Appeal Offices," the same offices established to listen to citizen's concerns and resolve complaints towards government policies and mistreatments, were turned into "gates directly to torture and jail."
• The whole [party name omitted] community structure was used to monitor, report and assist in the persecution of any man, women, or child, who dared to practice Falun Gong even in the privacy of their own homes.
• Schools and work units were forced to participate in the persecution of Falun Gong by expelling practitioners. Classrooms and offices were turned into holding cells for brainwashing, and the physical torture of Falun Gong practitioners.
• Mental hospitals used nerve-damaging drugs in an attempt to crush Falun Gong practitioners' spirit and damage their bodies so they could not practice their exercises.

Jiang Zemin has turned the structure of the whole country into a vicious and brutal persecution machine,to participate in a door to door extermination of Falun Gong.

As a result:

• The lives of millions of Falun Gong families were destroyed.
• Tens of thousands of innocent people were arrested, beaten, tortured or even killed, and there were even reports of babies being killed for their parent's involvement in Falun Gong.
• Women were raped right in the public streets. The police yelled at witnesses passingby, " She is a Falun Gong practitioner. Her death will count as nothing."
• Practitioners were doused with gasoline and burned alive. Others were tied to motorcycles and dragged down the street till dead.
• The death toll has increased 400% since last year. In the past two months alone over 70 reported killings took place in police custody.

On December 26, 2000, Ian Johnson of The Wall Street Journal revealed how the Central Government's use of fear and threats steamroll the systematic top-down government-endorsed persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, holding all levels of government personally responsible for any Falun Gong practitioner who appeals for their rights or safety. This has resulted in the wide spread torture and death of Falun Gong practitioners by their local government offices. His series won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for investigative journalism.

He wrote,

"The effects on society of such systematic brutality is hard to gauge. None of the deaths have been reported in the Chinese media. Only those directly touched by the crackdown know of its scope and ferocity."

The extensiveness and evilness of Jiang Zemin's persecution is unprecedented.

This display of evil's vicious attack of righteousness poses a serious test to all in the world. While Falun Gong practitioners continue to champion truth with peaceful courage and compassion, amidst such vicious and brutal defamation as Falun Gong practitioners around the world continue to appeal for justice, who do you support in this battle? What message do you teach your children when you look them in the eye?

Yesterday's violence from the Chinese delegation Appeal Officials who are visiting our city exposes the clear intention of their practice and persecution policy of Falun Gong in China.

We urge the Canadian government to expel these persecutors and send a clear message that they behavior is not acceptable in this county and persecutors are not welcome here!

We urge the attorney general to give us permission to charge the persecutors for their crimes against humanity if they ever dare to enter our country again!

We urge our Canadian government to protect the cleanness of our land by banning these terrors of humanity from our borders: This includes Chinese president Jiang Zemin, the head officials of national and local branches of the "610 Office," the Public Security Departments, the Police Departments, and the Appeal Bureau. These people are all directly responsible for the murder and torture of many innocent human beings.

We thank everyone who supports the courage of Falun Gong practitioners who continue to protect universal goodness and virtue.

Let's all position our hearts towards what is right.
