Persecution and Hatred Force a Sixty-Year-Old Female Dafa Practitioner in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province to Become Homeless

(Clearwisdom.net) Fan Xiuyun is an elderly female practitioner in Shijiazhuang City who used to live in the western section of the Jinma residential area. During the Chinese New Year of 2001, the Yudong [the name of a street] Administrative Office forced her and other Dafa practitioners to attend an illegal brainwashing class. In order to reject the persecution from the evil, she escaped from the office while Niu Junqian, the head of the People's Congress, Yudong Section, was on duty. His supervisor later severely criticized Niu, who then became vindictive.

At 2 pm on July 26, 2001, Niu Junqian saw Fan Xiuyun posting flyers that told the truth about Dafa along the street. Niu caught her immediately, intending to send her to the police station, but Fan Xiuyun escaped again by sending forth her righteous thoughts. Utterly discomfited, Niu called the police station and ordered an illegal search of her home. At about 4 pm, Yudong police station personnel stole two bags of Dafa books and other Dafa materials from her home. They had no warrant. Moreover, they forced Fan's son to "cooperate" with them as they searched for her whereabouts around their friends' and relatives' places. Prior to that incident, officers from the Yudong police station had also threatened her son many times, warning him, with threats of losing his wages and job, to make him "cooperate" with their persecution. Once, the authorities even sent Fan Xiuyun into a mental hospital and tortured her there for as long as a month. Fan was forced to become homeless and her whereabouts are unknown.
