A Letter from Massachusetts State Representative Martin Walsh to President Bush
(Editor's note: Mr. Walsh has also written similar letters to all U.S. senators and house
representatives of Massachusetts.)

Dear Mr. President:
Please recognize the serious human rights abuses that female practitioners of
Falun Gong are experiencing in the People's Republic of China.
Falun Gong is a spiritual exercise with historic origins in China. In recent
years, female practitioners have been abused physically and mentally by
officials of the Chinese government. Some of the physical abuses are
unconscionable, and should be met with stern opposition by the United States.
Several of my constituents have expressed alarm that atrocities against
female practitioners of Falun Gong are committed. I strongly urge you to call
for an end to these human rights abuses in China.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
MARTIN J. WALSH
State Representative
