(Clearwisdom.net) On August 18, the hunger strike held by eight practitioners from Georgia, Alabama and Washington D.C. was into its second day. The purpose of the hunger strike is to seek justice and support for the 130 Falun Gong practitioners at China's Masanjia Labor Camp, who started a group hunger strike 19 days ago. The eight practitioners spent the day listening to the taped lectures of Master Li and sharing experiences with each other. They also gave an interview to a reporter from Reuters at around noon.

5 PM, 6 PM and 7PM (US eastern time) on Saturday afternoon are the times when practitioners from all over the globe gather to send out their righteous thoughts simultaneously. Practitioners from the DC area started to gather around the "green square" in front of the Chinese Embassy in the early morning. They placed banners and pictorial exhibitions on the square. Directly across from the front gate of the embassy stood a copy of the statement made by the eight practitioners. All the practitioners sat quietly between the trees on the grass field and began fulfilling their vows as "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples." As they sent out their righteous thoughts, all eight practitioners holding the hunger strike felt pain in their legs more intensely than anything that they had experienced before. Maybe the pain was the manifestation of deranged attacks from the evil, but any interference and attempt to cause damage by the evil appeared small and weak in front of the steadfastly righteous thoughts of Dafa practitioners.

Today, two more practitioners joined the hunger strike. Actually there were more practitioners who had the same determined and pure hearts, and had wanted to participate in the hunger strike. But just like Master Li said, we all know that "You are one body, just like Master's gong... which does different things at the same time... In other words, one body doesn't necessarily do one thing. But no matter what you do, you need to be worthy of being called a Dafa disciple." Each Dafa disciple has his own purpose and responsibility as a part of the whole body. This will guide our steps in Fa rectification to be more upright and even better than before.
