Persistently Introducing the Truth of Dafa to a Senator

(Clearwisdom.net) In December 1999, a practitioner once tried to contact a senator in Heidelberg, Germany. The secretary answered the phone. When she repeated "Falun Gong" after me, I heard a voice come from the background say, "I don't want to be associated with XX." Then the secretary told me, "He does not have time to see you." After that, no other practitioner went to contact the senator.

Several months ago, I invited the practitioner that had made that phone call to go with me to visit this senator. We went directly to his office, but he was not there. His secretary treated us warmly and showed us some materials about Falun Gong that were forwarded from other senators. Among the material, we recognized several of my letters that I sent earlier to other regions. This secretary immediately arranged an appointment for us. Taking the opportunity, we also introduced Falun Gong to other assistants in the office. One lady obviously knew very little about Falun Gong, but she was very interested in learning it. Therefore we talked to her a long while about Falun Gong. In the end, she expressed her appreciation of our efforts for improving human rights and she also felt very surprised, finding that there are still some people like us existing in society, who are dedicating themselves to others.

Several weeks later we finally met this senator. He is very honest and he asked us many frank questions. We openly shared with him the persecution of Falun Gong in China, the historical tradition of Falun Gong, and the great compassion and incredible forbearance of Falun Gong practitioners. As we talked about Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truth, Benevolence, Forbearance), he continually nodded his head. Finally, he said that he would go to China by December, and he hoped we could introduce him to some practitioners in Beijing so that he could meet with them during his visit. He wanted to keep in touch with us as well.

Afterwards, we discussed this with other practitioners and we realized that he had been misled by the slanderous propaganda from Jiang Zemin's regime. Maybe there are still some such kinds of misunderstandings in other areas waiting for us to clarify. We should not wait, not rely on others, but actively eliminate the bad effects caused by Jiang's lies. Let's eradicate evil and clarify the truth to more people.
