You are so busy, having to look after the children and our parents in addition to your job at work. Please take care of yourself. Having been here for one year now, I feel that the time has passed quickly. Each week flies by just like that. In the past two weeks I have been in a low mood, feeling unspeakably down. I have now become aware of the true meaning of Master's saying: "Physical suffering can hardly be counted as painful, Cultivating one's heart is most excruciating." [draft translation from Master's poem "Tempering One's Mind and Heart" of Hong Yin]

The means used to persecute us by the guards (unprincipled people controlled by the evil) where I am held are various forms of mental torture. It seems to be a battle between the evil and the firm righteous belief and persistent willpower of the practitioners. Under formidable external pressure and the deceptive lies told by their captors, some practitioners did things against their own conscience. They were guilt-stricken and confused by their actions at the same time, recognizing that they were inappropriate for Dafa practitioners. I don't think this state of mind is right. We should learn from our mistakes and move on. As long as we can steadfastly cultivate to the very end, we will be able to feel the incomparable happiness in returning to our true selves in the universe created and formed by Dafa.

The material world offers too many enticements to people. How many people can rise above the level of human society without losing themselves? Not everybody has the kind of good fortune to obtain a clear and clean mind. One needs Dafa's guidance. One needs to discard one's many attachments and desires. This is also called "no loss, no gain." Only with a clear and sober mind can we appreciate the true meaning of life. Only then does one become aware of the greatness and profoundness of the Buddha Fa. Only then can one observe calmly the chaotic human affairs and the deluded world. Only then can one feel the joy of finally cultivating Falun Dafa after tens of thousands of years of waiting. To accomplish Fa rectification we must have this clear and clean mind. In cultivation practice we need to continue to temper our hearts. As practitioners, we are fortunate enough to be able to cultivate in the Fa rectification period and participate directly in rectifying the Fa.

We are surely incomparably lucky to be alive now after tens of thousands of years waiting. But the road to return home is definitely difficult and tough because of the various tribulations caused by our own karma and disturbances from the evil, as well as by the persecution by those controlled by the old forces in order to maintain their position. How could the evil run rampant any longer? The result of the battle between righteous and evil will be revealed in the end.

Don't worry about me. I've been here for more than a year. I know how to look after myself. I don't know how long the road ahead is, but I will walk it well.
