[Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Zhao Jingan, a Former Volunteer
Coordinator, is Arrested and Hung from his Handcuffs for Two Months
According to a reliable source, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Jingan was
abducted by police in Guangdong Province. They cuffed both his hands and his
feet and hung him up for two months without a reprieve. On top of that, they
actively prevented him from sleeping.
All practitioners and all kindhearted people who are reading this, please
send forth righteous thoughts to help all practitioners who are being persecuted
in China. Break through the perverted arrangements made by the old forces; step
out of the evil's field of influence and eliminate all evil.
It is said that a spy, Yan Ruishan, male, 26 to 27 years old, born in Hubei
Province, was the one who gave the police information on Zhao Jingan. He framed
Zhao by placing two hundred copies of Dafa materials in Zhao's office before the
police arrived. He received a reward from the police for helping them capture
Zhao. He also cheated 40,000 Yuan from some other people and returned to his
hometown. He continues his treachery in Hubei and Hunan Provinces. Dafa
practitioners, please pay attention to this person and send forth righteous
thoughts to eliminate evil.
[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] A Collection of Reports From Harbin
In early July, Jiang Zemin came to Harbin
to hold a seminar in the community center. Afterwards, the city launched a new
campaign of persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners , which involved the
Street Committees and Residential Committees. At all hours of the day, the city
police station and substations dispatched police cars to search all rented
houses to arrest homeless Dafa practitioners. They even resorted to such dirty
strategies as tracking and wiretapping. They have damaged five printing sites
and have captured a large number of Dafa practitioners.
Examples of what has happened in this campaign: (1) Police tracked and
arrested practitioner Wang Yuzhi when she went to a bank; over 30 policemen
tracked another practitioner named Xu for over a month. (2) Police set up three
eavesdropping bugs in the house of a practitioner named Guo and recorded his
conversations with a practitioner named Zang. As a result, they both were
arrested. When police attempted to arrest Zang, she refused to cooperate with
the evil, struggled uprightly and shouted loudly. The police covered her head
with a black bag smeared with psychotropic drugs. She sent forth righteous
thoughts to eliminate evil, and as a result, the drugs had no effect on her.
When the police interrogated her on the contents of her conversations, she
refused to answer any of their questions. Unexpectedly, she was released that
same day. (3) By adopting such means as wiretapping and tracking, police have
arrested Miaomiao (pseudonym) and four other practitioners. Miaomiao was hung up
and beaten up for four days.
Recently, because the practitioners in charge of making truth-clarifying
materials did not study the Fa and practice the exercises enough, they became
more careless and gave the evil an opening to do damage. Some practitioners who
were arrested could not endure the tests and implicated other practitioners,
bringing losses to Dafa.
In mid-June, Zhan Shizhong, a 67-year-old Dafa practitioner and senior
teacher at Heilongjiang University was arrested when he went to the Baoshan area
of Chifeng City in Inner-Mongolia to promote Falun Dafa. In mid-July, he was
escorted back to Harbin Custodial Center No. 2. During that period he suffered
various tortures. In order to protest this persecution, he went on a hunger
strike for three weeks, putting his life is in danger. Several other
practitioners detained in the same cell also joined in the hunger strike.
At 5:30 am, early in the morning of July 22, a loud broadcast of Falun Dafa
Radio was heard throughout the residential area of Harbin Linen Factory. Two
police vehicles came, which caused over 200 people to come to watch. The
broadcast was played at a high volume for over twenty minutes.
At the end of July, some practitioners put up many truth-clarifying posters
on the rails on both sides of a one-kilometer length of the Harbin Country
Highway 102 starting from the zero-kilometer mark.
One day in August, around Hetu Street, in the Daoli area, on every utility
pole there appeared a VCD disc entitled "The Truth of Falun Dafa." In
a panic, the police enforced martial law for several hours.
[Hunchun City, Jilin Province] A Senior Dafa Practitioner is Abducted by
Police
At 10 am, on July 23, 2001, Li Zhuze, the deputy chief of Hunchun Police
Station, led seven to eight policemen to arrest a senior Dafa practitioner. They
all wore plain clothes with Li Zhuze wearing dark sunglasses. They arrived at
the home of Ms. Li in a police vehicle. Ms.Li is over 60-years-old and lives on
Henan Street. Responding to their attempts to arrest her, Ms. Li said, "I
did not violate the law. I will not go with you." She locked the door from
inside her home and would not let them in. Li Zhuze then dispatched an officer
at the police station for the master key and finally they were able to open Ms.
Li's door and take her to the station. They later went back to her house to
ransack it. They also took her daughter, who is not a practitioner, to the
police station to interrogate and threaten her. They told her that if she told
them the whereabouts of other practitioners, they would release her mother. Li's
daughter did not obey them and was detained for a whole night. They sent Ms Li
to a labor camp the following day.
This is only one of the many examples of how the Hunchun Police Station
cruelly persecutes practitioners. Under the directions of the chief and deputy
chief of Hunchun Police Station, Yan Lihua and Li Zhuze, policemen from the city
police station to the substations, strictly carry out Jiang Zemin's criminal
orders. They use a multitude of methods to persecute practitioners. When they
find out that anyone practices Falun Gong, they arrest and send them immediately
to labor camps. Some practitioners have been forced into homelessness and they
are wanted by the police. Everywhere in Hunchun City, from bus stations to
railway stations, from streets to lanes, one can see orders for the arrest of
practitioners along with their pictures posted. What is more, in police stations
and substations, one can see posters stating, "Whoever pleads for Falun
Gong practitioners will be fined."
[Xixia City, Shangdong Province] Police Wiretap All Phone
Conversations
On the afternoon of August 16, 2001, police from the Public
Security Bureau in Xixia City, Shangdong Province sent Wang Liang, a Falun Gong
practitioner from Zhongqiao Concrete Factory, Yantai City to the Xiaozhuang
Brainwashing Class. That morning, Wang's telephone was being tapped by the
police while he was mentioning Falun Gong in a phone conversation.
According to an insider, police in Xixia City have been
monitoring all phone calls.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Neighborhood Committee
Collects Information on Falun Gong Practitioners For Further Persecution
A Neighborhood Committee in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province has
compiled a list of all Falun Gong practitioners in the local area in order to
track and control them.
A peasant worker who is also a Falun Gong practitioner said
that government officials in his area were making detailed records of
practitioners' names, workplaces, identification numbers, phone numbers, and
even information about their children.
In order to heighten persecution of Falun Gong practitioners,
they are attempting to establish a database by collecting Falun Gong
practitioners' information and giving each practitioner an identification
number.
[Hebei Province] Justice Department Establishes A Drug
Rehabilitation Center to Detain Falun Gong Practitioners
According to an insider, the Hebei Provincial government was
recently intimidated by "high" authorities for "not doing their
best" in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The Justice Department was
planning to establish a Drug Rehabilitation Center. Their plan was to detain
Falun Gong practitioners along with drug addicts.
We are warning all evil people in Hebei Province: Stop the
persecution of Falun Gong; otherwise it will be too late for regrets when the
retribution comes.
[Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Music Teacher Xu Ming
Kidnapped by Police
On the afternoon of July 17, 2001 Xu Ming, a teacher in the
Guangzhou Music Normal College was forcibly arrested by more than dozen
policemen while he was walking out of a restaurant. At this point, Xu Ming has
been illegally detained and has been forced to attend a brainwashing class held
in Guangzhou Legal School with more than twenty other Falun Gong practitioners.
The practitioners who do not give up Falun Gong will be sent to a Labor
Re-education Camp.

[Nanjing City, Jiangshu Province] Police Misrepresent Age of
an Elderly Practitioner In Order to Send Her to Labor Camp
Falun Gong practitioner Xu Shuxiang, female, 65, from Nanjing
City, Jiangshu Province had been detained for appealing in Beijing last summer.
Later, she was tortured and forced to suffer in a mental hospital. This March,
she was illegally detained in a detention center where she refused to sign the
"guarantee." Police attempted to send her to a labor camp, but found
that she was beyond the age at which a person can be legally sent to labor camp.
Nevertheless, they falsified her age, saying that she was 62 years old, and sent
her to a labor re-education camp for one and a half years of forced labor.
Some Cases of Immediate Retribution In This Lifetime
In a Sino-Japan Joint Enterprise in Dalian Development Area,
under the pressure of the Industrial Committee, a Chinese leader printed out
materials slandering Falun Dafa and required all employees to sign. Several days
later, the Japanese supervisor dismissed him. Another person reported to the
police information about a Falun Dafa practitioner. Since then, he has had to
keep taking sick leave.
In a foreign enterprise all illegally arrested Falun Gong
practitioners were dismissed. There were two people responsible for dismissal of
Falun Gong practitioners. Later on, one of these people lost his job and the
other was laid off. The company is also generally getting worse and worse.
One day, an auto garage in Pulandian City was asked to fix a
police car that was involved in a traffic accident. The owner asked the police,
"What caused the damage to the car?" The police replied, "We
collided while chasing Falun Gong practitioners last night."
These cases are warning signs to those people who facilitate
the evil deeds of a tyrant. The principles of heaven say that good will be
rewarded with good and evil will meet with evil.
