Statement for Li Zhili's Hunger Strike

My name is Li Zhili and I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner.

At Masanjia Labour Camp in Liaoling, China, there are 130 or so Falun Dafa practitioners, who, simply because they don't want to give up the belief and practice of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance", have been detained illegally with arbitrarily extended sentences. They have suffered ruthless torture both physical and mental. Without any other means to speak out, they have decided to go on a hunger strike, using the only means left to them to protest their inhumane treatment, their lives.

Today has marked the 21^st day of their hunger strike. Their lives are in great danger at any moment. At this critical time, I have decided, starting from today- August 21^st, 2001, to go on a hunger strike in front of the Chinese Embassy. This is to voice a strong appeal to the Chinese government to immediately release the 130 Falun Gong practitioners who could lose their lives any moment, to appeal to all kind-heart people, all levels of government and international organizations to take action to help stop Jiang Zemin's regimes' brutal killings, and to stop the persecution of Falun Dafa. What the Jiang Regime has been doing is a hideous crime that no kind-heart person can tolerate.

I love life. I have a warm family, a loving husband and a little daughter that needs me. The fact that I'm willing to give up all I have to go on a hunger strike to save other peoples' lives itself is a testimonial that Falun Dafa is a most righteous way that leads people towards kindness and compassion. Before I started practicing Falun Dafa, I was a very selfish person who would use all means to harm others in order to gain personal interest. It is Falun Dafa that has changed me and enabled me to understand that thinking of others before oneself and to become unselfish is the goal of my life. When I calmly made this decision, I was moved by my own action. I thank Falun Dafa for bringing me up to this realm.

In the 5 years of my cultivation heart and body, I clearly understand that Falun Dafa is the law of the universe and "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" is the real truth of the universe. Falun Dafa teaches one to be selfless. Falun Dafa is benevolence, which provides salvation to all the sentient beings. If a life accepts Falun Dafa and assimilates to Falun Dafa, this life will have a forever-beautiful future. If a life persecutes Falun Dafa, opposes Falun Dafa, or rejects Falun Dafa, this life is going to be eliminated by the universe.

I will use my heart, my body and my life to tell all the lives that exist in this great time period how precious it is to have the luck to meet with this great universal law, which may only occur in tens of thousands of years. Do not be deceived by the lies of Jiang Zemin's regime to hate or ignore the universal great law which created your life, what you may lose is the only opportunity in your life which can not be obtained again, the opportunity of the ascent of your life and retuning to your true-self.

I sincerely warn those who are assisting the evil in persecuting kind people, those who are indifferent to the brutal, inhumane persecution: you lives are really in peril. Your attitude towards Falun Dafa will determine your life forever. When the truth of Falun Dafa presents itself to the human world, all the bad lives will be eliminated by the history of the universe. Please take the time to seriously think and make the responsible decision.

The reason that I am appealing by the means of a hunger strike is to reveal the evil of Jiang Zemin, to present the benevolent and compassion of the great universal law, and to let the lives that have the predestined relationship with Falun Dafa to make the correct decision and be saved.
